Losing to Arsenal...would it be so bad?

If a loss to Arsenal handed them 4th over RS, would you be happy?

I was really hoping we would see the Arsenal game as another opportunity to try and get a win at the home of one of the so called Top Six teams. Its rare that we get anything out of these games and that is a trend that needs to change if we have any aspirations of competing for a Champions League place in the future.

With Arsenal still competing for a top four place there will be a lot at stake on the day, the game will be another benchmark to understand where we are as a squad and what's needed to become more consistent away at these grounds.

That's for next season bottom line if we need to "lose" to get arsenal into top 4 than we do it.

If west ham beat them tomorrow, then we can get a valiant draw against arsenal and they will probably miss out on goal difference, shades of Michael Thomas would be sweet.

Lets hope at best they get 4th

That way if Utd win the Europa League there out
They've changed the rule mate. I had a look today. It changed after Spurs were denied in 2012, so if they finish 4th and United win it both qualify.

Mixed feelings for me, I always want Everton to win but I won't be one bit arsed if we get beat and they lose out.
The meltdown would be biblical.

If we beat Arsenal or took a point and it meant Liverpool getting the top four, I'd be really annoyed. There should be an element of awareness in the squad about the scenario.

I want Ajax to win the Europa League and i want Liverpool to miss out on a Champions League place. You can figure out the mathematical equations yourselves.;)
