He needs game time but not being involved in 3 games in 8 days including an away trip to France and back, you would be the first to moan if he picked up a knock tomorrow and kept him out the league for a few games.

You make it sound like an away trip to Outer Mongolia.

Lille ain't much further than a trip to Southampton.

And as for running the risk of picking up "a knock" in the game....he missed the first two months of the season due to an injury picked up in training before the season even started.

These things happen in football.

If he picks up a knock at Lille he picks up a knock.

I for one would rather our players were injured whilst playing a game for Everton than on the training pitch.

Or worse, on international duty.

You can't wrap him in cotton wool.

Play him in France.....the lid is 20 years old and his season has just started.

He will be bang up for it and he needs the game time.

Bobby will know if he is fit enough to feature in three games in eight days and that us good enough for me.

People seriously need to stop thinking we can just put the league as a 2nd priority and go gung ho all eggs in 1 basket in the europa, we need to rotate and rest our best players whenever possible. Man City, Roma, Juventus, liverpool and Benfica. All teams that could/looking likely to fall into the europa we realistically ain't gonna win it so try by all means but do so rotating and keeping our best for the league and when we get through to the knock outs fair enough play a full strength 11.

People bashed kenwright/moyes for having no squad depth to rotate back in the EUFA cup now we have a squad people want the same 11 week in week out lol

Er, it'll take about the same amount of time getting to Burnley on Sunday as the flight to Lille has - so that's no excuse. He needs game time to get his fitness up, and with our injured players coming back we now have a big enough squad to deal with a game against Lille and then Burnley.

I hope Barkley starts tomorrow because if we win this game then we really only need another 3/4 points to qualify for the next round from a very tough group.

We are prioritising both you big silly. And rightly so.

Crazy if he plays barkley we need to really start taking the league seriously Burnley are gonna play with 10 men behind the ball we need barkley fully fit to make those driving runs/open up the space for the striker, Naismith is more than capable of starting against lille daft by martinez.

Burnley wont play with ten men behind the ball against us at home. They will look at West Brom's and Palace's good results last time out after Europa games and push for the 3 points.

I hope they do, they should do the prediciment they are in.

A good time to play Lille 3-1 Les Bleus. Les Buts de Barkelay, Collyman et E'duex. Le Homme du Lait a jouer aussi. Tres facile.

Ross behind Eto'o tonight I reckon. Our lovely sociopathic Bosnian to roam centre midfield and do whatever he damn well pleases alongside McCarthy, and throw Geads on the wing. Thatll be strong enough to get the win.

If you are entirely comfortable about Everton winning and like betting; I suggest too tonight - the odds are stacked against us, major money for what we think might happen!
