think you need to have a little chill mate

overthinking a lot there, it's pretty simple, lookman is a better option that what we have, hence he should play. you mention about not getting hyped up over lookman but that fat idiot didn't even give him the chance to get hyped up, he forced him out on loan so he could play his favs whilst lookman went away and got hyped up by the germans and we had to watch the 3 crabs every week
Yeah, we should always use our best available players, and I dont think Lookman is one of those yet, certainly not against the ‘Stoke type’ clubs.

BFS wanted 10 players going out there to avoid losing. That's not really in Lookman's locker is it. Hopefully with a manager who wants to win he will get more game time along with others of his ilk.

you mean the worst teams in the league who get relegated, not helping yourself here ahhahaha
No, I mean Stoke type clubs, as in physically big teams. I hope youre just pretending not to get my drift, shouldnt need to explain that one on a football forum.

I get what you mean, however they can have 11 body builders on the pitch but if they're sh1t they're sh1t ( which stoke are ) teams at the bottom are scared of teams/players who will run at their defence

Again, not talking about where Stoke are on the table, talking about that type of team. And yes, they worry when they get teams playing like the RS did last season running at them, when a team as impotent as ours do, its just an easier way to get the counter attack going.

Are we playing Liamssol or teams of their ‘caliber’ week in and week out? No, we arnt, and if we were, a lot more of our players would score a lot more goals.

Are the RS a physical side? No.

Did I say he’s less effective than Boa? No, I said there are matches Id rather pick DCL/Niasse/Boa over Lookman, Boa obviously being lowest on the list of all 4.

Ive seen all this before. Every time we have a promising youth player our fans goes bananas and claim him to be the next jesus. There are so many examples of this, and Rooney might be the only player actually becomming what we touted him to be. One single player! ONE!
Yet the hype train rides on, year in and year out, the names are just different from season to season, but the contents are the same no matter how good or bad the player in question has performed - if he has bad showings its always the managers fault for ‘using him wrong’, if he doesnt play because of these bad showings, its the manager being clueless and not knowing what stellar player he’s got, so on and so forth.

Im not saying Lookman wont become a superstar for us, but I know he wont if he’s thrown into the deep end of the pool for our hyper aggressive fans to feed on after a bad performance or two. Look at Davis. Last season he was god among men, destined to be ‘our future Gerrard’. Now he’s become the scapegoat for half the forum. Bet thats healthy for his devlopmemt and doesnt bleed through in games or online at twitter or such all.
I think you've got a point to be fair.

It's easy to remember him coming on and doing well at Anfield, but he hasn't had that sort of impact in many of his other games for us, whether he started or came on. Like you, i'm not saying he won't do very well for us, but I do have a slight worry that people are setting him up for a fall. He's got some real talent, but he's a bit weak and his decision making can be... erratic. That's fine in the main, but if people have convinced themselves he's going to be a star, it may lead to more than a few moans and groans.

Glad to see he turned up today

We mustn’t go overboard as he’s done nothing as yet, but the lad seems to have talent. BFS letting him go the way he did was a disgrace, but may actually have benefitted the lad and EFC.....I hope he has a cracking season ahead of him.....

He's only 20, and if he, say, plays 20 times this year, maybe 10 starts and 10 subs, and scores around 7-8 goals, that would be a great season and great progress. If the 3 up front are Walcott, Tosun, Lookman/Vlasic, i think that's a really ambitious target but not a bad idea to aim for that.

The only problem with that is none of them are Left Wingers.
