Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
Was just thinking, If we revert to 4-5-1 againsg fulham on sunday. Who would you play as the frount man ??

Id go for AJ with some of the performances he's put in of late. Plus he's now on a run of goals.

Also think the Yak has had a few lackluster games of late.

Discuss......

Well i didnt think Yak was lacklustre last night, he put a great performance in (apart from not scoring!)
Think it will depend on our midfield situation, if cahill isnt back then he will stick with 2 upfront but if he is it will be Yak by himself

sorry did'nt mean last night, but in the away game an at sunderland. Maybe a rest would do him good.

I just think you go with the form man....an thats AJ.

it has to be the yak for me.

Aj never stops running for the team and comes up with a few goals but the yaks all round play is much better. the yak controls the ball better holds it up better and brings other players into the attack whilst Aj runs down dead ends with very little support playing in a 4-5-1. I never realised how good the yak was until he joined us (a great footballer with a good footballing brain).

The Yak, without doubht apart form his turning ability of defenders, his strength and his dead eye in front of goal, i think mentaly hes playing chess while many players around him are playing draughts! His vision and ability to spot a pass or begin a brilliant move, is something wer dont give him enough credit for.

they both bring different attributes to the team, but in the past moyes has stuck with the team thats playing well. he wont change it while we are winning, so for me its an unchanged side this weekend unless we get an injury.

I hope he sticks with 4 4 2 if he doesn't then it will be the Yak with the option of changing.

There is little need to rotate as much now we only have a few games left this season, have them play for their places

I'd have to ask myself this question.

"Who'd be more likely to hit a hat trick against Fulham?"

Yak would be the answer everytime.

That said, I'd stick with the same formation for Fulham and go with BOTH Yak and AJ and put 'em to the sword before halftime.

As long as the players aren't too tired after their collective herculean efforts last night, I would keep the same team. I couldn't tell any of those players they were on the bench after that.

Obviously all depends on how quick they recover. maybe Osman will get a rest?

We are a much better team playing the 4-5-1 formation.

Howard

Neville Yobo Jagielka Lescott

Carsley

Arteta Osman Pienaar

Cahill

Yakubu

at home especially, we always batter teams at home playing this formation with this team, because of the midfield creativity and work rate.

We overhaul the oppo midfield and then Yakka smashes them in for fun.

Yakubu for me every time. He offers so much more and he's always likely to get a goal. Johnson has been good of late though and deserves to be in the team. But only if its means two upfront as he's lost upfront on his own.

Same team for Fulham if you ask me depending on fitness. If a few players need a rest then we have players like Cahill, Fernandes, Baines and Anichebe who can come in and do a job. The more options the better in my opinion.

I hope we have a strong bench as we'll need it. The boys who played 120 minutes will need a breather after a bit so capable subs would be useful.
