When I have I said they represent the whole? When have I even said every single person is rioting? Please stop putting words in my mouth to suit your side of the discussion .

There is no need to put words in your mouth. Look at this next nonsense of yours, in which you claim my (and yours, and presumably everyones) great grandparents rioted and attacked black people:

Your great grandparents probably were racist as was a lot of people. I know my great nan was racist god rest her soul. They literally rioted and attacked black people saying they had taken their jobs. Not sure how more racist you want it to be. Oh but people won't admit that , this country was racist for hundreds of years , slaughtering Africans simply to occupy their land. Whether you like it or not , the vast majority of britain has been racist.

Also, what's the length of riots on the country got to do with anything. You specifically said the people weren't rioting because they were protesting. You dismissed their actions based on your narrative of events.

If you can't keep up with your own opinion then what chance have I got?

Its your opinion again, isn't it? Nothing must be allowed to stand in the way of your opinion, not posts here or reality out there.

It’s been pretty timid rioting in London tbh, seen worse at football matches including our match against Millwall not long ago. All a bit overhyped imo, especially compared to the Mark Duggan riots a few years back or what’s been happening across the pond.
Still plenty of people injured from Saturday. all acting like idiots while we are supposedly in a lockdown of sorts.

Indeed.
Imagine the nurses aren't impressed when these idiots turn up and need fixing at this time.
Will be even worse in a few weeks when the pubs are open as well and it's all back to Saturday nights alright for fighting.

Back to the nonsense remark again. Dismissing what I am saying rather than simply disagreeing. In fact all of this has stemmed from you wanting to dismiss my opinion rather than simply disagreeing with it.

If you believe this country hasn't been racist for hundreds of years then read a book.

yeah that’s all they need to deal with plus the potential covid 19 spike after thousands of trouble causing divvies break the lockdown rules . Selfish beyond belief.

But there have been riots right?

There have been vandalism , assault , destruction of property , attacking police etc.

All of those were done under the black lives matter umbrella.

So which is it? Are you really suggesting that either they haven't been rioting or it's fine they have been doing all of that because they are protesting?
Not according you your man below who thinks it's fine as they are protesting so it's not really a riot

So you are suggesting it's not black lives matter umbrella that is tearing statues down?

Then that means people are rioting for no reason.

You said, in the quotes above that “there have been vandalism, assault, destruction of property, attacking police etc” and that “All of those were done under the black lives matter umbrella.”
You then asked “When have I said they represent the whole?”
So you’re now saying that the vandalism, assault etc don’t represent black lives matter, despite claiming previously that it did.
I’ve no need to put words in your mouth. I’ve no idea what your argument is. And clearly, nor have you.

Umbrella.

Meaning anything and everything associated with the movement. Whether they are vandalising property or posting inspirational quotes on Facebook, it's all part of the movement.

That's what the term umbrella means.

Like I said to you earlier, if they aren't acting for black lives matter movement then they are disgracing their name. So which is it? Are they part of the movement or are they not?

You mean you still don’t know?
Besides, the use of the word umbrella was just something you made up to suit whichever side of the discussion you were on at the time.

. An umbrella term is a word or phrase that covers a wide range of concepts belonging to a common category. ... A blanket term is a closely related word or phrase that is used to describe multiple groups of related things

You’re waving you’re umbrella around like The Penguin mate. The issue is not the dictionary definition of an umbrella it is your use of the term to discredit the BLM movement by referring continually to the disturbances on the edge of the protests. No, they should not happen, no they do the BLM movement no credit, as they themselves have said. You meanwhile continue to bandy about your malicious opinion as if it was fact by continually linking, by means of your magic umbrella, BLM and public disturbances.
Well done.
