There's a way to answer that question - our thinking evolves over time as we gain new information - but her facial expression when she cuts the interviewer off is the thing that rings huge alarm bells for me. It suggests a lack of respect for the interviewer, whose job literally is to ask her uncomfortable questions and elicit a response. That expression says, "I shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense," when dealing with it is exactly what you sign up for when you stand for PM.

An example of a quality response would be, "People change their thinking all the time. We learn new things. If I never updated my positions on issues during a career in public service, you would slam me as a backwards ideologue and you would probably be right. You can't have it both ways. If you want to discuss how I came to some of those changes in position, I'm happy to take them one by one." That puts the interviewer back on the back foot and shifts the conversation without shutting it down.

The one brain cell spouts crap again.

if she could join up the thinking between tuesdays braincell and wednesdays she might manage to reach to "we'll put panels on every council building and new and existing council home by 2027, furthermore we will provide support for panels to be manufactured here in britain so that jobs are secured alongside a % of our energy needs".

fixing the hole in the roof whilst the sun shines

we're all in this together

those with the broadest shoulders will carry the greatest burden

Shambles!

Surely it makes sense to have solar panels fitted to all newly built houses, and offices come to that. What would be the downside?
