This demonstrates a much higher standard of understanding the question than you're getting from Truss. It is more or less what I was thinking every day in Scotland except the last one, when the locals would call the weather "not-so-good", though I was thinking it in English.

I don't think I have ever seen the leader of a nuclear power be that devoid of thought. Bush 43 was not long on the English language, but at least there were thoughts inside. Often times, this led to interesting and hilarious results.

I was going to say Trump… but Truss may have less thoughts than him… just that his thoughts were objectively horrific and/or ridiculous and/or detached from reality.
I mean, I’d rather have a society where no one was rich, and no one was poor. Sounds better than having a small group of people sitting on fortunes like Smaug while tonnes of people have to decide whether to eat or be warm

Right, the man was thinking independently, just without the internal demands for factual input or moral outputs. You don't get that level of media stature prior to the presidency without using portions of your brain. It doesn't follow that the outputs are anything other than abhorrent.
I would love to be so confident in myself that I think I could do any job going despite being woefully unqualified or lacking in necessary skills. You see people all over like this. I mean, how can she possibly believe she’d be a good PM? She’s out her mind.
