Many Labour voters voted Brext - fact - Labour sitting on the fence over Brexit gave Boris an easy election victory - Labour have now learnt their lesson & are not going to reverse a democratic vote ....only the Lib Dems will do that .....
Ironically The nutcase Truss was a Lib Dems plus an avid remainer.,.....in fact she was in Cameron & Osbourne's remain campaign......

One man's 'democratic vote' is another man's wilfully deceived the public.

I dont disagree that many on the far right + many rich business owners voted Brexit for their own unscrupulous purposes however to suggest the majority of the country who voted in a democratic election are bigots/fascists is incredibly libellous.

The brexit vote may very well have been democratic in itself, but the monopoly the (far) right wing press hold within our society "enabled" the Con party to tell porkies on a biblical scale regarding the benefits of brexit. You know. things like painting 350 million per week for the NHS painted on a big red bus and then driving it around the country, or restricting immigration to hundreds per year which was lauded by the press as a masterstroke.

If a vote is to be deemed wholly democratic then surely the information that inluences voters choices has to at least have some degree of truth. There is an argument to be had that The Daily Mail, Express, Telegraph, Times are just as palpable as Truss and Johnson for the trussterfeck in which our country finds itself.
