Don’t believe for a second that Klopp will throw the fixture.

For us, any improvement on last time’s ponderous and timid effort will be welcome. We still could have nicked a point, mind.

Will be fascinating to see how both set up.

Yeah cant see him doing what he did in the league cup, hope they do like. We need to be compact and hard to break down, which we have been since Marco left, hopefully we can snatch a goal. Think it will be quite an even game tbh.

If anything Klopp is an egomaniac who would love nothing more than to see his under 12s beat Everton and let the media feed his ego even more

Dont know whether or not to watch.

I avoided the last derby and was extremely grateful for avoiding the unneeded stress and frustration.
Last Derby was the 1st one i watched in years and it was stress free, think I expected to lose though.
Actually I Did watch the away one last season and I nearly had a mental break down(thanks Pickford) before that years, the semi I think. Not worth the stress

We can see where the problems are with that disaster of a team... lol

Any realistic version of the side we'll put out?

Time after time I pretty much hate today more than any day of the the year and I’m including anniversaries of a personal nature , It’s just a horrible day . So let’s hope today at the start of a new decade is when we start a new chapter and I end the day arriving home late drunkenly singing and annoying the neighbours rather than angrily drinking whiskey refusing to speak to anyone who isn’t a blue for a day or two . COYB

Doesn't matter if klopp rests a few players this game is to early for carlo to pull off a miracle. He hardly had time to breathe. Expecting us to lose

I'm sure Carlo will have had them watching video of those long balls from the last bumming. Whether he can get them to cope with them any better, we can only hope.

Oh why did Gomes have to get injured?
Why did this draw have to come now & not 4th round (after the window)??
Everton that.

If we can get at them, we can score, no question.
We’re going to need all of Carlo’s experience, 100% concentration & a bit of luck.

COYB!!!!

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched a derby game, literally for my own health (I actually think it was the 3-3 under Bobby). The instances of cheating and dodgy decisions over my lifetime have been inordinate, the list is huge, all the way back to the Hutchinson "non-goal".

Annoyingly I feel like it'll be interesting today to see how we play this out under Ancelotti, the City game was odd, but there did seem to be a plan of sorts. In a way I wish this game had come under Ferguson, high intensity blood and thunder would have been our best hope because we don't have the quality to outplay them with players we have at the moment.

Was thinking the same mate. With regards to the long ball that did for us last time I'm certain Carlo will have the answer to negate that issue, the other guy was so tactically unaware as of what to do about it that it made for cringeworthy watching. My fear is they switch the game plan and take us on in midfield to get forward, that's where Carlo is then relying on our players abilities rather than his own game plan.

I think the first 10 minutes will set the stage for this, I hope to see us hassling and chasing down. Give them any room or time on the ball in that first period and the sting will be drawn and it's curtains. I truly hope we are 110% up for this and act like we are from the off.
