It is an absolute champagne day here in Auckland. Not a cloud in the sky, 25 degrees. From my deck, the harbour is a sparkling blue , live on TV, the NZ cricket team is battering India and I have a two day holiday.

And yet, .....something was missing.

And Chico, you have just provided it : the Derby preview.

Mucho gracias my friend. Ace as per

I have a very clear image in my head of Kev scoring in front of the Everton section and lifting his jersey to reveal #OviedoBaby underneath. It is going to happen.

I'm dead up for it now. Come on you ****ing Blues.

"Sturridge is an utter trumpet of a man. With more than a whiff of hard-nosed entitlement typical of the modern young top class player – his celebration is a useful reference point for what an utter bellwhiff he is. I’m not too arsed by him as he carries the kopite premium of too much hope on just not enough talent. That’s obviously sealed his brace for him right there".

How will they actually line up? Would they actually risk 2v3 in midfield to get Suarez and Sturridge up front?

They have pretty bad injury problems at the back, Lucas obviously out and Allen a doubt. Makes it difficult to know how they will line up. Read a few things from their fans and they seem to think it'll be...

Mignolet

Cissokho
Skrtel
Toure
Flanagan

Gerrard
Henderson

Coutinho
Suarez
Sterling

Sturridge

Obviously very strong going forward but looks weak in midfield and in defence. If we can get Pienaar fit then with Baines/Pienaar down the left against Flanagan and Mirallas against Cissokho on the right then we should create quite a bit. Just have to hope we have some of our defence back as we could obviously also be very weak at the back and with their potential front four we could have a lot of problems ourselves.

Needless to say I am a nervous wreck as usual!

I was fairly relaxed coming up to it, now as of about 5 minutes ago I'm bricking it again.

Really wanting a win more than anything now.
