just got home from work, im staying awake for a good while and then go to bed about 11 so i sleep all the way through it, get up and half heartedly check the score. if a miracle happens and get a good result im going to get pissed. so its a sober night for me locked in my room totally pished off again , 15 effin years bloody rediculous how we havent even fluked one, altho the first time i could remember us actually winning a derby i was 15 years of age when andy king scored, i know we beat them before 1970 but i was to young to remember. lets hope 15 is a lucky number maybe the score will be 1-5 i wish, would take a point now or a scabby 1 -0 win :) anything just anything will do. going to say a prayer before i sleep.

Oh god no! Haven't we learnt that lesson yet??? Besic could play RB I think he'd be a better option there than stones anyway. Taking Stones out of the centre would be like giving them a 2 goal head start.

Coleman will play anyway though.
You're suggesting that we throw a RB not proven at this level in his preferred position let alone the less familiar position into his first start in a derby?
Stones at least is a capable right back, and there are other capable center backs even if they have experienced recent dips in form. Our defence unit as a whole is stronger when Stones plays there should Coleman not play, as opposed to playing someone else who would be so clearly out of position there where they will get exposed near every time by Sterlings pace and power.
Even if we say that Jags and Distin are getting past it, a defence consisting of Stones, Distin, Jags and Baines is still stronger than one of Besic/Hibbo, Stones, Jags and Baines as there isn't the gaping hole to target down the right.

We've conceded 13 goals in 4 games when Stones hasn't been CB. If he doesn't play there then we we will lose whoever we have at RB.

COME GET SOME!!!

Jeez - I hope the players have more confidence than most on here.... would hate to think they were of a mind that 'we've never won here in 15 years, not worth showing up, our defense is crap, might as well just get it over with as fast as possible'...... COYB!!!!!

As long as the players have the Martinez mindset we'll be alright - "The last time we beat Liverpool at Anfield was September 27 so I hope the spookiness carries on at the weekend."
