Yeah. I'm not calling it right or wrong.

I just think it's so massively refreshing having a manager who is willing to give the kids a chance. If Browning continues to impress, there is no reason Hibbo should see the pitch. He is so incredibly limited in what he can do. We play a system with wingbacks...he ain't a wingback.

Yes, I agree with what you are saying.

The problem is we can't just chuck Ty at the deep end and expect him to master the role at the highest level right away.

Look how long it took first Seamus to become what he is today.

Today I thought Roberto made perfect use of the two of them.

Use Hibbo's experience for as long as we needed to hold steady at the back......then replace him with Ty when we needed an attacking full back to go chasing the game.

I was well pleased with our right back position today.....and I now feel confident that between Tony and Ty we do have a bit of cover for Seamus.

Though I hope we won't need either in the starting XI very soon.

IF Martinez had any bottle he would play Alcaraz-Stones in the Derby. Distin is a 78 year old defender whose game relies solely on pace. His positional sense is awful, his technique is awful, his mentality is mid-level at best. Him and Jags are the greatest bottlers, treating the ball like a hot potato and making a 5 yard pass seem like a death sentence. Who can forget his FA Cup semifinal assist. Thanks for that. They are relics, and much too comfortable in their roles as keepers of the old guard, bet they sit in the changing room back-slapping each other and remembering the good old days when they were taking knives to gunfights and a 50-yard clearance was commendable not lamentable. They have zero ambition, not much more quality, and are not fit to lead this team.

Jagielka is a shocking captain, a lark-about schoolboy who when he's not telling us 'Yeah definitely' is smirking his way through Lukaku's belief we can be a top club. And the man behind them? Howard. Jesus christ, Howard. The Secretary of Defense. No wonder America is done as a superpower. Wouldn't trust him to catch the clap in a Kirkdale whorehouse. And he is another bottler. Twitching and hollering his way through to a game until he gets the chance to throw out his usual star-jump shapes, that is of course when he's not letting in his favourite near-post squirmers or standing rooted to the spot when a cross reaches the 6-yard box. Robles deserves a go. He couldn't be any worse. At least give him a CHANCE to do well, instead of the guarenteed screw-up that is Tourettes Tim. The three of them are pathetic and have been directly responsible for almost every goal we've conceded. It's truly laughable.

Martinez has options. Be brave, and use them. I fear he will simply bow to dressing room pressure and play the old favourites. Might some people have been more astute than we gave them credit for when they said he was far too friendly with the players? We shall see. Any combination of those 3 play Saturday we will concede 3, 4, 5+ goals easily. Mark my words.

Dear lord, what did I just read here ?

Ok,so after not having the balls to watch this live I had to tune in MOTD and see there the 10 minutes of air time we got. Conisdering the pace they had it looks like we contained them quite well, not to many "in behind" situations.

Considering Sterling was up against Hibbert he must not have got that many 1 on 1's with him so it seems that adequate doubling-up achieved. Including Besic alongisde Barry and McCarthy seemded to sure up the midifeld a bit more, the lad seemed to be everywhere trying to close play down on the highlights, like a little terrier. And that ball he played into Lukaku was fantastic

Defo a foul on Lukaku in the opening minutes; the Barry penalty appeal was not a pen in my eyes. It also looked like Balotelli fouled Barry in the lead up to their goal.

Stones seemed to have a cracker of a game. Can't really blame Howard for the goal, he may have been wrong footed and the ball seemed to be past him by the time he got across, it did have some dip on it.

But what a goal, jesus christ. Even watching it then I was shouting don't shoot as it fell to him. Think the ball is still travelling now

Not going to entirely disagree with you Mr. Moyes, but let's look at Stones as exhibit A when it comes to letting a lad play. He's arguably our best center half. I submit, Mr. Moyes, that Seamus' development was hindered by your reserved tactics.

I'm desperate to be proved wrong. But there are just too many hypotheticals in this post. I mean really. IF he replicates last season's form. IF he replicates said form next year. IF he suddenly gets better and continues to get better. Too many IFs to just declare he'll suddenly become the next Costa. Youth is indeed on his side. But he's been nothing short of woeful this season, we just can't afford to carry him. I think a spell out the time will be beneficial to all

Woeful? Really?

Addittionally ...
Quit coming in via an IP hider or I'll assume you're a WUM

This.

Im no hibbert fan, infact im the first to say he is bad but he did fine today considering.

...also agree about Browning. Yes he has a future at our club but im amazed by the praise he is getting for his 4 passes today.

.....and a cross, don't forget the cross that led to the goal.......

He hasn't been woeful. He scored a cracker against West Brom ,set up our second against Arsenal, scored against Palace, unlucky not to score against Chelsea. Wasn't brilliant at Wolfsburg but he's really been suffering because we don't have a box-to-box midfield shuttler now Barkley is out and Naismith simply doesn't give him service - it's the key thing holding our team back and stopping us countering like we did last season.

I genuinely tihnk we can't judge him for 2 years - Drogba wasn't brilliant in his first season, neither was Sterling, I'm sure I could think of others.
