A few Reds I know have said how they battered us and we were lucky. They had 24 shots to our 11. Only 8 of there's were on target to our 5. Taking pot shots from 30 yards tells me they were more frustrated and taking shots on in anger
They were at home and we played Hibbert. And we could have scored in the last minute. They were lucky. :)

....for the last time (hoping I get some reaction), I think John Stones was our MoM today.

Yep - agree 100%. BT sports and NBC gave Stones MOTM as well today. I hope he stays forever, and that Jags/Stones is our first choice pair from now on. I'm all for keeping Distin happy, but Roberto must have noticed by now.

How do we fit besic? He's capable of putting a good ball through and his long passing will improve by the looks of it. Looked decent until the late second half.

He's only 20 and he's been playing in the Hungarian league, then he's only been in England 5 minutes. One for next season probably. Loads of our players have come good in their second year (Mirallas springs to mind straight away).

A point at anfield is a bonus regardless of how we played, 9 times out of 10 the pace takes over.

I very rarely do derbies anymore, I get to anxious.

Sounds like RM set up to sure up tge defence, Besic sitting in alongside Barry and Mccarthy to provide extra cover for the defence.

if so then he did the right thing, regardless of performance, the players needed to realise that they can still be an effective defensive unit

Installing confidence was a must today

He was absolutely immense. Robert Earle picked him as MOM on NBCSN over here in US. We have some great young players in this squad: Stones, McCarthy, Barks, Besic, Lukaku. We haven't just spunked 120 million on crap. Their misery makes me happy. Cheer up blues.
Robert Earle aye ? Thought he was brown bread .

I keep fast forwarding to a couple of years from now when that back line might look like Stones, Browning, Galloway, Coleman, and Garbutt.

Another thing I'd say is that Browning looked really impressive, especially considering he's making his debut at Anfield when it's 0-1 and he has to get forward.

Best crosses all day came from him. And his passing (and passing brain) looked good.

The Robert Earl?
