Cannot believe it. Absolutely buzzing.

+ from the game: Jagielka was much better even before the worldie, Baines brilliant for 70 mins, Tyias Browning superb, Hibbert was solid as well

- No flair or creativity going forward, Lukaku on the wing was a terrible decision

Belter of a goal to rescue a point! That first half was when we should have capitalised though, we had countless opportunities to counter but picked the wrong pass or the easy pass every time.
I know it's easy to say but Barkley would have been ideal today in those situations as he drives into the spaces rather than looking for the first opportunity to get it out his feet like Naismith does. I love Nace but today when the space was there to exploit he was not the man for it.

I don't think many teams (other than Villa) go to Anfield and play very well, in fact I'm sure Gary Neville said something similar recently; that most of his Utd results there were get in and get out! You've just got to step it up at the right moments and punish.
That's why our overall performance in my opinion was decent, it's just that lack of incisiveness we have every year at Anfield that costs us.

As for individuals:
Lukaku should have done a lot more in this game as we'd managed to get him into a fair few good positions. Naismith was busy if nothing spectacular. Baines - decent, as was Hibbert! (got burned a couple of times mind) Browning did very well coming on. Good from the centre backs and Barry was ok. Mcarthy was very good after an iffy start, Besic is gonna be a player once he gets up to full pace. Oh and McGeady is not an Everton player, I can't tell you why but he just isn't and I don't like him unfortunately. Gutted for Kev.

Agree on McGeady mate, not good enough for the Blues.

Its only when they dont win ,prepare also for stories about spitting on the hillsborough memorial, everyone of the whoppers
films everything at the pit EXCEPT us spitting and singing that song pricks

Apparently Mirallas' hamstring works as a Special Constable for South Yorkshire Police in their Black Ops department, which is why they cheered when it snapped.

btw atkinson did us a couple of favours today and thought he did well, but how the hell he fell for balotelli's dive for the free kick when he'd already tried it to no success 4 or 5 times is beyond me.

why do refs enjoy being taken for a mug, i'm sorry but they're all a bit spineless, if someone was trying to mug me off doing my job i would never ever give them the benefit of the doubt.

when we won that 92nd min free kick, i was crying out for arteta and cahill to be on the pitch, was exactly the same spot as those two combined to rescue a point at the pit a few years back - our set plays were utterly horrific again today, i understand what martinez says, but we have to dedicate some practice to these as well - pointless having good build up play to win corners and free kicks if you throw all the good play away.

After all his diving can the FA not take retrospective action against Balotelli for continuous simulation?
He also simulates being a human which is bad for the species

Some of them were beyond ludicrous. The one in the box when he then made an elbow gesture to the ref was the worst. Surprised he didn't get a penalty for it to be honest.
