In this day of age it was probably a red card but I'm glad it wasn't as I hate the rules now. Can't tackle anymore.

It wasn't a tackle it was a clearance, and an unnecessary follow through. That's the kind of action that can really injure a player, however it was MacAllister which mitigates it a bit!
