I don’t know if you’re a 70s (and later) music fan but the British musician and artist Brian Eno has a full name of Brian Peter George Jean-Baptiste de la Salle Eno. Trying getting that on the back of a shirt!
He would have played for Brazil, so just ENO

Why was our away end so quiet? I know the change of the anfield road end doesn't help but thought we'd be up for it and have a sing. It was silent most of the game.

Sky:

1. Pickford ended VVD's career before he jumped out of the wheelchair in Little Britain style

2. Alex McAlister was on the receiving end of a career ending challenge from James Tarkowski, that he somehow managed to get up from. And not die. And play the rest of the game.

3. Darwen Nunez ignores the refs whistle to carry on play playing, gets poleaxed by Pickford and dies as a result of the challenge. Comes back to life and rolls back onto the pitch to waste time. Despite being dead, where time doesn't matter.

No agenda though.
;)

So in an odd coincidence I attended a lunch and learn session this week on split second decision making and the speaker was a proffessional referee. He explained that FIFA issues them with rubrics to guide decision making. the focus of the session was the offside law and interpreting it. The rubric states a player can be in an offside position but not be classed as offside unless he plays the ball or interferes with a defender. Clearly Diaz does neither at first but then in the goal bulid up he plays the ball into Jota's path and the goal is scored. This should be an infringement according to the referees guidance, unless the ref and VAR deem that the passages of play were seperate, so when he does touch the ball it is seperate from the earlier offside position.
Thanks for this……
Plus he makes Tarks commit to an unbalanced challenge

agreed - just like Mrs H would say "I can't make you do anything - you chose your actions based on what you thought." - I can hear the words now :)
Diaz doesn't make Tarkowski do a weak block, Tarkowski chose to do it based on the fact that Diaz was behind him. I am sure Tarkowski does not know if Diaz is odffside or being played on by someone out of his vision. If Tarkowski had let the ball go though to Diaz he would have been offside, but can you imagine the grief on here alone if he had done that and the goal stood....

Give it a rest. Because I know the offside law? Absolute scum.

Wish they’d plaster that on SSN, instead of showing his tackle on loop, it’s actually bananas the power they have in the media. We and other clubs I believe have to start pointing it out, it’s dripping down now to influencing outcomes of games.
It's been influencing outcomes and ref decision for 10+ years. through sky Andy Johnson was know as a diver. Carr tried his best to get Richy the same tag but was blind when salad and mane was flopping all over the show.

Hard to get behind a team when we spend most the game defending I guess. Don't think it helps with how much of a closed shop these tickets have become down the years either.

There wasn't even anything at kick off either though. But then see videos of singing on concourse (I stayed in my seat) just thought we should sing and have a laugh more, Wolves Away end was similar to Liverpool in my opinion

I'm with you mate. Always found it bizarre how much of an atmosphere we can generate on a concourse only to be so quiet upstairs. Must be all too invested watching the actual game.

Hopefully over the next few years we can have more faith in the team. I do think that plays a part in the noise we make. Hard to jump around when deep down you know you're on the verge of conceding every few minutes or so.
