Probably the worst derby perfomance since that terrible 5-0 at goodison in 1982.
We played with all the passion befitting a mid-week pre season friendly away at yeovil.
We have no ideas how to beat the most pathetic semblance of a RS team in living memory, and our perfomances against them are getting exponetially more guttless as time goes by.

What happened to the chelski 4-4 / arsenal 2-2 spirit ???? I prayed to would follow us over the park today, but as usual it hasn't.

Sort it out lad's... Please

Either we made it look good or they do have a good defence after all. We were clueless up front - why Donovan wasn't used more down the left is beyond me. I was so convinced we wouldn't lose this I had bets with two blokes at work - and they gave me the draw too!

One thing is for sure. Donovan still is a bit behind on the pace of the league and is still learning what he can and can't do on the ball.

Unfortunately for him, the pace of the derby is 3x what a normal Premier League match is so that certainly didn't help his cause.

I think it might have helped to switch Pienaar over to the right and Donovan to the left as Moyes has done in the past. Why he didn't do it today is beyond me.

Miles better than that pile of [Poor language removed] we call Anichebe. I'm sorry, but I'm sick to death of seeing David Moyes put out players who are just not good enough.

He spent 9m on Billy, get him on the ******* pitch. Work with them, instead of copping out with a lad who has the worse attitude in football.

I don't even want to think of the rest of the month!! Fellaini out for god knows how long. Pienaar out for the next match. Arteta looking typical from a player just coming off a long injury. I have a feeling we won't see much good things from Feb....

[Poor language removed] me..

Moyes has switched someone in the recent years? I've missed this, sorry.
But yeah, LD was good today, and i blame it on this being a derby that his performance was slightly off than recent matches.

You said that Liverpool played well to stifle us. I just don't think they did.

The whole team for Everton were so afraid of getting sent off that tenacity just went out the window.

They were awful, but we were worse. Their midfield at least closed players down and showed SOME effort. We looked scared of them, and totally overawed by the occasion.

Moyes. Tactically inept. As usual, he set his stall out, and didn't change it tactically at all. No excuses this time, he had options on the bench. Pienaar should have been switched to run at Insua.
.

But he's a 3 times LMA manger of the year.

Where's that BB thread questioning his tactical ability when you need it.

I honestly can't think of any player today who done anything deserving of praise.

Maybe Donavon for a couple of good attacking runs at the defense and Baines for his free kick. Thats it.

And i'll say it again, if that was Yobo hoofing long ball after long ball forward only to be headed away by the defense like Heitinga played today he would be being crucified rightnow.

You might of played 1 decent ball all day mate so just because you played another 1 a couple of years ago and have sexy forearms doesn't mean you can spray long balls around like a world class player.

And i'll also say again how absolutly awful the ref was today. Its not often you'll see me say that on here but he really was bad. Only thing he got right was the red card for socrates. Was just dying to give Pienarr a second yellow. At least we only lose him for 1 game instead of the 3 we should of done.

It's easy to stop us playing, nullified our flanks and we'll pass the ball around aimlessly till we misplace the ball or lump it forward.
