Same here. I've heard so many excuses already. I even heard one today say "we will lose on purpose so Rafael will have to leave"

Up for this one. Got a good feeling that i've not had since AJ embarassed Carragher at Goodison. COYB!

You rat-bastards!!!
Move the start time back so I don't have to get up so early.

Everton is my adopted team now that Donovan has joined Howard.

Good luck!

ps. What the hell is a toffee?

The old cliche 'Form goes out of the window for the derby'

Is it true? For as long as I've been following football, we've been inferior to the RS and its more often than not, us saying that old cliche. Has it been a saying to put an excuse in front of the fact we've played poorly prior to the derby most of the time?

Because I've heard a few RS fans saying it lately, whilst no blues....hmmm.

It might go out of the window, but surely it can only be a good thing to be going into the match unbeaten in 9, not conceded in 3???

I'm ridiculously confident for tomorrow..

Paddypower are offering 6/1 against us to win tomorrow  had to have a few quid on that. COYFBB

Can't wait for this match. It will be my first time watching a mereyside derby and I hope it lives up to all the expectations. I'm so excited I don't even care that it is on at 1 OClock in the morning. COYB.

I respectfully submit a new nickname: "The testicle crushers" waddayathink?

Had to post and laugh at that. Americans, they look at "toffee" and have to man it up. I guess it is the wee hours of the morning in England and the yanks are having at it. I am getting up early and already cancelled a client in order to see the game. I lied to him and said that I had a friend in from out of town.
BTW, introduce yourself.. I would love to see the Blues welcome YOU! Great post!

5:35, and I have tried and given up on sleeping before the game. No derby has ever done this to me before, don't know why I'm so nervous this time around. 7 hours to burn until kick off, might just go make myself a massive Irish breakfast, tip-toeing around the place not to wake the rest of the family.

edit:

Not too sure where it's come from, could be hogwash, but apparently the RS will line up as follows;

--------------Reina

Carra-----Kyrgiakos----Agger------Insua

-----------Lucas---Masch

Kuyt---------Gerrard------------Maxi

--------------N'Gog

Not an intimidating line-up, IMO.

However, I'd be happier if Kuyt was up front as the lone striker, him getting forward with N'Gog could be dangerous. Gerrard will be marked out of the game by Fellaini, Rodriguez is still adapting. Lucas and Mascherano could do okay for them, but they are not match winners. I think Donovan could have Carragher waking up in cold sweats for the rest of the season.

We will win this.

I am really looking forward to this game. I will be watching in enemy territory (the LA downtown loft of a few RS lads from Liverpool). I will be proudly wearing my #9 Everton kit. I am anticipating a big game from Donovan to go with his good showings against Arsenal, Man City and Sunderland. I am hoping that they look to the right side a bit more because our attack seems to go down the left and center. They is a lot of pace on that right side if we care to use it. It has been a few weeks since Donovan's arrival and he should be hitting his stride in fitness and Everton's style of play. COYB!! Or I will never hear the end of it from my RS team mates during the Sunday morning kick arounds.

Our line-up is pretty much decided already, it been pretty much the same as the last few game, probably something like this again:

---------------------- Howard -----------------------

--- Neville --- Heitinga --- Distin/Senderos --- Baines ---

--- Donovan ----- Osman --- Fellaini --- Pienaar ----

----------------------- Cahill -----------------------

----------------------- Saha -----------------------

Sub: Nash, Coleman, Arteta, Bilyaletdinov, Vaughan, Anichebe/Yakubu, Distin/Senderos.

Only uncertain whether or not Distin or Senderos would start, Yobo is probably going to rested to make sure he fully recover, we did probably see him in the Chelsea game, probably the same with Yakubu but if the manager decide he want him on the bench then I believe he did take Anichebe's place on the bench.

I would say I wanted to see Coleman instead of Neville, but I did understand the manager want to go for experience here, but I would like to see Coleman in the last 20~30 mins whether we are in a comfortable lead or looking for a winner or chasing the game?

As, What we needed then it's not high defensive quality but someone has a attacking mind and the weapon to improve our attacking strength, and we did get that from Coleman, love to see Arteta & another striker giving a run in the last 20 mins or so, probably Vaughan but it would be Yakubu if he is on the bench unless we are trying to chase that everything in the front, then Vaughan would be more suitable for the job than Yakubu.
