That's not him, that's the team. He never played that pass when he was at Manchester United.

Neville last season - 1533 passes, 72.47% accuracy. 10th best in league!

His hoofball is with intent.

He chips the ball up alot at right back, I'd say that.

In midfield his passing is neat, tidy and intelligent. As Brownie said, he has a good understanding of the game and has really improved this area of his game.

3 things I notice about our tactics.

We sit off the guy with the ball, instead of getting in close and putting pressure on.

We wait for someone else to throw the ball, and lose momentum in the process.

We often ignore the easy pass with throw ins in favour of 50/50 upfield throws.

Little things like this can make a difference in a match.
Possession is 9 tenths of the law after all.

Hardly anything we do is aimed at keeping possession. We try to get crosses in or win corners.

we should have different tactics for different teams
but keep the control of the center with the nev/rod/fel rotation backed up with jags and distin
push forward with arteta in center and peanuts and bily wide
yak saha and jo to give the defense a headache

Wigan and Fulham are tall teams, and against Wigan, we had midgets in comparison, so keeping the ball on the ground against these teams is essential. Hoofing it up is simply putting ourselves under pressure if we lose the ball.

We did it for a little while last season when everybody was fit. Other than that we've never played real football, which is why we have such a terrible record against the top four. Also why we're so gutted we didn't sign another midfielder who can control the ball under pressure.

This IMO should be the perfect lineup by November. Fellaini can be rotated in place of rodwell or cahill cuz we're gonna have lots of injuries, same with ossie. Now we have yobo,distin,fellaini,jo/saha/yakubu,vaughan,baxter,ossie on the bench!...Damn thats strong!

oh sorry i forgot about neville. I should have written that neville can rotate with hibbert and play as a DM.

TBH there's lot more quality on the bench even than neville can offer. I really like him as a captain but he seems to have become a liability cuz of the captaincy. At RB,yes he would fit but when you have rodwell and arteta back in the team i cant see him a regular in the midfield. He can even fill in left back if needed

If hibbert continues to play like he has been in the last 2 games then he'll become the oldest player even to improve like an early bloomer. Against wigan he looked like Sergio Ramos..is that too big a compliment?
