Lifes A Pitch (Moyes would like to leave)

But moyes brought in those players. If we had a manager who was even just average in the transfer market, we'd be roughly Sunderland.

Moyes has also tried to sign players that turned out to be terrible, maybe other elements within the club have stopped it happening...even in terms of bringing players in he is an important cog in a machine that means we generally end up with the right player... a new cog needed and we are more stable now so hopefully it will be the right one

Moyes is a good manager. If he could get his teams to play consistently for more than a half a season, he'd be a great one. People who say that we'd probably do worse if Moyes leaves may be right. But that is more to do with our abomination of a board and who they would get to replace him, rather than Moyes' supreme managerial ability. I think you could also argue that for similar reasons there is a good chance Moyes could fail spectacularly at his next job.

We all know Kenwright and Moyes are very close friends.
If Moyes is going im sure they are both working on plan B. Moyes will not leave mess behind.
I think he would mate, despite his close relationship with Kenwright he wouldn't hesitate to go on and face a new challenge.

I still think he'll sign a contract though.

i think if he goes,we will be sound..ASLONG..as the manager who replaces moyes void..comes in very quick after the ginger genius has departed

sorry mate didn't realise i wasn't allowed a different opinion to yourself. i'l test my footballing knowledge against yours any day of the week sunshine. If you don't like debate and opinions of other fans why do you come on a football forum?

I think your opinion is misguided, naive & ignorant of the simple facts. It therefore irks me, if you don't want your opinion judged don't share it on a football forum love.

maybe so but Everton made David Moyes, David Moyes did not make Everton and it's getting ridiculous all this "he's too good for Everton" bullshine, i'm sorry but nobody player or manager is bigger than this club especially a manager that has never won a fricking carrot in his tenure.

Brilliant post.

On average over the 11 years, and versus other premiership teams, we're 7 places higher than our finances dictate, and that is down mostly to David Moyes' transfer activity and subsequent use of those players.

Every team who finishes above us in the league spends way more than we do, and there are 6 or 7 teams below us who also spend more. We're a financial anomaly.

Brennan that's such a simplistic analysis it is untrue.

Moyes has had 11 unbroken years. I wonder how many other managers in the league have spent more than him (gross)?

Just loooking at net spend completely ignores the windfall money from selling Rooney (nothing to do with Moyes) and the sell-on profits from the likes of Lescott (everything to do with Moyes).

It ignores the obvious reality that any club that sticks with its manager is always going to spend less due to no huge overhaul required every 12 to 18 months

Moyes must be delighted how the world only focuses on one dimension of spending.

As an individual manager he's had £millions to spend and the time to build under no pressure

If he played more exciting football. - and dropped the likes of Neville and Naismith - we'd be on the tele more so would earn more

If he played the youngsters more instead of old crocs we might have some half-decent assets instead of letting most of them go for free

Moyes came from a ****ty club like Preston and will quite probably end back there.

I hate the way he's taken then piss out of the club with this contract saga

I. Hate the way he plays up to this little old Everton media cliche. Of course it suits him but we're so much better. Than that.

**** off Moyes and let someone genuine come in.

They've just heard Chelsea have been trying to contact the Moyesiah.

The next picture has been binned as Moyes is weeping saying "it's felli ... they're just after felli ..."

Terrific point the other side to the 11 yrs of Moyes is how much better might someone else of done, how many cups have we not won because of his "style"? - no-one ever gets the length of time Moyes gets so we'll never know but it's deffo possible.
