This is the whole point nobody knows what will happen post david moyes but he is not the saviour of this football club, he's done an ok job nothing more nothing less. he's been to one cup final in 11 years that is all. My thoughts exactly. And if we somehow are managing to not be at the bottom, it will be because of the youth ranks that Moyes built.

Inside a contract year, it showed great maturity, loyalty and stewardship by Moyes to walk away from Fer and buy Stones this January. Fer appeared to have EVERY bit of a chance to help us immediately (which could have meant a trophy this year) but for the kind of money needed, if there was a long term concern, the money needed to be structured differently to protect the club.

If Moyes leaves, we will be hard pressed to find someone who looks after the club's future viability more than today's success.

(And with our level of funding - if we choose today over tomorrow, we will be the next pompey).

His tactics are open for debate he can grind out results very rarely over his tenure have we been a high scoring team at times our football has been atrocious. There has been more bad than good but that's ok for a lot of people because "at least we are better than the 90's", he has systematically lowered expectations to such a degree that finishing 7th is seen as a highly impressive season.

He might be able to grind through a season but he can't win in knockout football. Never before have i heard a manager with absolutely zero on his resume be touted for elite jobs...reality check he isn't good enough the big clubs of this world see this that's why he is still at plucky old everton.

Anyway, I can't listen to journalists talk about Everton. They love belittling the club's stature/history and the message to the fans is always 'know your place'.

I hope the most morally bankrupt billionaire on the planet buys Everton, builds some grotesque Death Star on Stanley Park and finances a team of heartless mercenaries who go on to sweep all before them. I'd then ban all these joke journalists from the stadium and tell them to continue covering traditional big clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City.

This is the point though mate isn't it, is that not why everyone keeps harping back to the 90's because we were always in relegation fights. Under Moyes we aren't and a lot of fans are seemingly just happy with that fact.

I'm not I want to be challenging for things, whether financially viable or not. I still believe and will keep on believing that our trophy cabinet may be full again someday.

'know your place' is spot on. its never that Moyes is at the right club, always what would he or any decent player do elsewhere. saw a shirt on a wigan fan...no money, no history, no fans, no worries....obviously think we have a massive legacy to live up to but would just love some of that..f ** k the big guns attitude coming from the fans and the manager..we loved him in first place cos of the peoples' club remark. if that 'us against the world' attitude was still there than happy for him to stay but it isn't . he is too worried about his reputation. wish him well, but he maybe is making a mistake going
