Barnfred 55
Player Valuation: £80m
Your point being that if you haven't seen a player live you are not entitled to express an opinion on an internet forum? It really was. My point was pretty simple and justified.

Black Friday mate. Given his age and the fact that he hasn’t had any opportunities I’m really not sure why the rush to sell him. The season is effectively over and we should have been giving Walsh an opportunity in the first Team to see what he could do. I don’t really see any downside in doing this plus it would have the added benefit of reducing the games that Schneiderlin would get. A veritable win win.Friday was not a good day. Barkley was always going , disappointing moneywise, Walsh has always had the potential we just never got the chance to see it in the 1st team due to injuries. Certainly early season he was better than Beni Baningime for the U23s . Then Beni got his chance and at times he looked better in the 1st team then in the U23s, maybe the extra space helped,. And that’s the crux of it for me, I never got the chance to judge him in the 1st team. At 20 he was unlikely to suddenly emerge as a squad player in a highly competitive area for us ..... just would have like to see him get a chance. Ah well, gone now. Good luck to him , who knows he could be playing against us in the PL next season for Bristol City.
Why o why do we have a fire sale in the wrong areas ????.........he’s terrific, Joey, but I accept these decisions have to be made. Only time will tell if it was an error of judgement.
It would be a reasonable policy but have we done it in this case?Truth is, I'm fine with this policy if we insert Barca style buy backs in to every deal. These guys need to be playing and if it doesn't look like they will do so here within a few years, sell them and buy back in 2-3 years. It's a reasonable strategy that is short of giving up on them, but doesn't require them to waste their formative years in the U23s.
That’s the question, I don’t know.im just saying if there was a coherent strategy and this was part of it I’d agree with it. If it lets us move our players into league football sooner and guarantee we can still reap the benefits of their development then I’m on board. It would be a reasonable policy but have we done it in this case?

That would make sense particularly in this case. In fact its the definition of a no brainer. Good question to ask at a forum or maybe send into the fans forum for them to ask them? If it's good enough for Barcelona then it should be good enough for usThat’s the question, I don’t know.im just saying if there was a coherent strategy and this was part of it I’d agree with it. There was a one liner last week somewhere along the lines of “ we’re restructuring our U23s “ but nothing to substantiate that.Certainly we have odd policies at times e.g. the length we kept McAleny, we still have Conor Grant who’s at Crewe . Then we buy Dennis Adeniran from Fulham , who has promise and sell Walsh who’s about a year older. Given the premium PL clubs get asked to pay for promising youngsters I wouldn’t think there was not a lot of profit in the Walsh/ Adeniran figures. That’s the question, I don’t know.im just saying if there was a coherent strategy and this was part of it I’d agree with it. Maybe he isn't good enough. But, perhaps the coaches who see him train and play every day would not be qualified to judge this.Black Friday mate. It's not Tims fault.Seems alot of bad luck and bad timming has affected his chances.
