Will tell us much more than playing under 21 football and being around the first team. These young lads need competitive minutes get so much more out of these kind of loan deals than just training with the first team.

No doubt, and they saw that up close and personal, which is why they asked for him. Fleetwood is very meh as that league goes, so he'll get playing time and there should be players down there that can push him.

Exactly.
He's not going to be near our 1st team, especially with the new arrivals, and he needs to play competitive football that will test him. U23 football doesn't do that anymore - he's already shown he's outgrown it. Playing in a tough, competitive league, whether it's League One or Two, let alone the Championship, is a world away from the cossetted environment of U23 football played in front of a handful of people.
In an ideal world we'd have seen him go to a Championship side, but we can only loan him to a team that wants him! It's better he goes to a team where he has a chance of playing every week, if his form warrants it, as happened at Tranmere.
Would be better if Fleetwood are pushing for promotion - too early to know yet. When they played us they rested some of their key players, including their captain, Josh Vela, who's been playing in midfield.

Really doesn’t need to be a championship loan just needs game time at this moment in time, we will have people watching him and if he’s good enough I’m sure Lampard can spot that next pre season, did a 16 year old Rooney need a loan to see if he can step up? No if you’re good enough you get in the team
