Got to say I really rate this lad - seen him a few times and he can definitely do a job in the Premier League.

I wasn't aware his contract was about to expire either - surely worth a punt in January if he doesn't sign the extension?

Besides, he's probably the biggest myth transfer we've ever had. The vast majority of people who drop his name have more than likely never watched the lad play, and our links with him seem to be nothing more than him saying he supports Everton (and Arsenal).

Money isn't really the issue as he'll have six months left on his contract come January. He'll be available for around £3m or something I reckon.

He's said he wants to play in England, and other than Arsenal I'd say Everton are the only other realistic side he'd go to.

I rate him but he doesn't strike me as a City, United or Chelsea player as I don't think he's at that level.

So if he wants to play in England, who else apart from us and Arsenal does he go to? Fulham, Southampton?

In my eyes it's a two horse race - assuming both Arsenal AND Everton actually go in for him of course!!!

In fact, reminds me very much of the Mirallas situation.
