Has he actually gone on loan? Wouldn't it be better to play him tomorrow then let him go or at least wait till cover arrives. Very odd

its covered in the thread previously but i think you can only play for 2 clubs in a season now so if his loan doesnt go well then hes stuck not playing for a season and cant go elsewhere in january.
 
Reading started with two wins, you'd hope if we are letting him go that he his guaranteed of starting. No point him sitting on the bench there, when he is an injury away from starting premier league games.

They've had issues at CB over the last few years so i think he'll see plenty of game time. I know sod all about their new manager or what's style of football is, their first couple of games have been a bit meh and by all accounts they were being out played last weekend until their opponents had a man sent off but apparently he put forward the best pitch to get Gibson on loan so you'd hope he sees him being an integral part of the team. Their handling of Virginia wasn't great
 
Does seem odd to loan him out when we are an injury away from playing Digne/Doucoure at CB (hopefully another CB is on the cards).

Wider point is that it's good to seem signs of players moving out.
