Another striker and another midfielder who can create a little and we'll push on again. With the squad we've got now we will finish 7-10 a couple of decent additions and we'll move closer the top 4.
Sane people usually allow more than a handful of games before coming to judgements about what is and what isn't possible.
By all means critique each performance individually if you must, but we are currently 6th in the table, how you extrapolate that to mean we will be mid table mediocrity and on a downward spiral is more a reflection on you than Everton
We are 6th in the table, the cry arsing is embarrassing. After every victory there is a mass creation of threads praising the window, the manager, the players and owner. So why after a game we should've comfortably won (based on performance) do we need pages and pages of bedwetting. What is it with the arbitrary time periods that have to pass before you can criticise anything on here?
People were the same with Martinez, yet were proven spot on 12 months prior to the bandwagon getting in motion.
Right now, it's crystal clear that the summer has done over any chance we had of competing properly, so it's very reasonable to state right now that we are cemented as also rans for the rest of the season, and the ball has been dropped on gaining momentum under a supposed billionaire 'investor' and that will probably have a negative impact on next season too.

I think we could all do with a little less "the sky is falling in" after a defeat in October.

You reference the previous regime and people taking their time to acknowledge the obvious (which it was with Martinez the absoloute failure) but this guy has done really good things in the PL in even more difficult circumstances than this, so a bit more time should be afforded.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pochettino took until November 23rd in his first season to get Spurs above the 14 point mark and he had much better tools at his disposal from the off, we've beaten that record comfortably, it may mean nothing but as things stand I think it's a decent indicator as to where we could go.
We really don't.We still have a better side than the RS IMO. Not having this.
Lot of mystic meg's (or should that be neg?? Ill get me coat...) here. Here's a revolutionary idea, why not wait and see at the end of the season instead of all these hissy fits in October. We knew this wouldnt be an overnight fix.
Everton are a mid-table side. I suspect this season will end with us: P38 W13 D 12 L13 Pts 51. I think that the European places will go to United, City. Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool. I doubt that we will win any cups because that requires an element of luck (and Everton don't do luck). And I cannot see the next transfer windows producing anything but the in and out of a few journeymen, because top players don't want to know us because we are not in Europe.
I wish that I didn't believe this but I cannot convince myself otherwise.
Ah, let's close the forum eh then and be a bunch of Captain Hindsights in July.
Koeman has a huge rebuild job.
Other than Lukaku and Gueye I wouldn't care if the rest were sold.
It was a defeat against Burnley mate, man for man we should beat theI think we could all do with a little less "the sky is falling in" after a defeat in October.
