Lescott....

Heitinga's been brilliant for us at times and £6m isn't much money in the premier league. I think we'll look back on him as worth the money, especially as we'll probably recoup at least part of the fee when he leaves.

Wages though mate - 55k a week its alot more then 6 mill in reality - not sure hes been worth that.

they wont get any were near half of what they paid for him mate

Lescott is top drawer when he wants to be mate. I really don't think you'd easily find a centre half of his quality for £4m, if at all. For comparison Moyes bought Heitinga and Distin for £4m a piece, one has been a failure and the other is good but not as good as Lescott.

You could maybe get somebody as good as Lescott for that money, but when we haven't got loads of cash to burn i'd rather buy a sure thing, a player who we know was boss for us in the past and would slot straight back into the back line.

short memory lad he was player of the year last year, agreed he's gone to sh*t but I wouldn't say a failure.

Lescotts a good defender but his age is a concern with his past injuries, I'd still have him back though class player.

If the sold Heitinga now, I think they'd get more than what they paid for him... That said I don't think they should sell him. Looks to be hitting form again and when in form he's a beast.

Im learning to be bigger about these things, at the end of the day there are very few players who dont suit themselves and are massive snides, so yeah id prob have him back because hes a superb player - never forget though, same way i find it hard to warm to Pienaar since his return, not that i dont support him he just doesnt have the same respect from me he once did.

I don't want him back either. He will probably cost about 4m-5m,there will be a substantial signing on fee, agents fees and probably a wages cost over the next four years of about 14m.This for a player who will have no resale value within 18 months,Everton cannot afford that type of deal.
It suited him to walk out on us and it would suit him very well to come back now,but I don't think it's a deal that suits us.
Yes,he is a good player, but, not so good that it is a deal you have to go for.Lescott was guilty of making silly mistakes which cost us dearly at times.
