Lescott in England squad

The operative word there being "recently."

I believe Beckham should get another shot at playing for his country and get that 100th cap.
 
Dylan i will be very surprised if we see him in many more after this one.

bentley is the future.
 
I pleased that we will be able to shed the Beckham name tbh, give him 5 minutes then a cap followed with good bye.:o

I was a little disappointed that Ossie never got a call, hey ho(y)
 
Beckham is still one of the best crossers of the ball in the world, I'm glad hes been called up. I really only expected Joleon to be called up for Everton. I dont think Osman is good enough compared to what midfielders are in that squad.
 

Great to see Lescott in there. I honestly think as well the likes of Jags and Osman might be getting in the squad in the near future.
 
Osman is on another planet to some of the garbage in that squad like Barry and Jenas. Same old [Poor language removed] from clueless managers, supporting England and being one of the "essex boys" like they all are now is a [Poor language removed] chore. I will leave it to the small time fans i.e. Bury, Oxford e.t.c who love all this England [Poor language removed]

Agree with that! I always like to see England and the Home Nations do well but it doesnt bother me to much tbh

Agree on Beckham. He really is class. I think we need to get get used to life without him after this 100th cap, though. Also agree that only Lescott really deserves a call-up at this time. I think there is a possibility that Jags could stake a claim if he continues to improve. I'm afraid, in contrast, that Neville is just not up to it. Last, Ossie shows flashes of brilliance but I'm not sure if he really is a quality midfielder.

Osman doubters, you are insane.
He is up there with Englands best central midfielder, if you cannot see that, then you're blind. He's class.
 
wayne bridge instead of neville ?

wes brown/wheater/woodgate instead of jags ?

crouch instead of aj ?

i think not on all of them !

wayne bridge , a cole , wes brown , woodgate and crouch are only being picked becouse of the clubs they play for. if i was a manager i wouldnt be intrested in any of them.

its selections like this that is behind the reason why england are not going to euro cup and why we havent won anything in years.

and on the saame basis that wheater has been picked then surely jags and osman should have got a look in.

well done to the fa for having the same players and selection policy that has flopped with the last 2 or 3 england managers.

ps im glad beckhams in.not only does he deserve the 100th cap.but i still beleive he is one of the only players we have with true proven winning international class.
i still think he is from the super fit generation and could probably play at prem level for another 3 years.
best thing he can do is get a move back to the prem.

second best thing he can do is kneecap rooney and crouch for me.
