If I hadn't completely lost faith in Martinez's ability to manage each individual player's game time, I'd fancy Osman to make a big impact between now and the end of the season.

Our priority this summer will be signing a Leon Osman style player. A creative attacking midfielder that with one little pass or one little shimmy opens up opportunities for our forwards. More than anything that is what we have been missing all season, Pienaar likewise has also been a loss.

I think that Osman has been underrated by a lot of Evertonians for a long time. I think he will no longer be able to play week after week , but he still has plenty to offer. I remember saying years ago that I felt he was a player that benefitted from having a rest now and then as Idon't think he has the stamina to play the game he plays every week over a full season and less so as he gets older.

Not sure what it says about this modern day Everton team, that Osman is now so important, but he is and has been and is a great servant to the club and has suffered way too much stick over the years.

I loathe him but, as Grandmaster Br0WnZ said a while ago, we've missed his type of player. I.e. someone to link midfield and attack and keep possession.

With him and Pienaar over the hill we really should make this a priority.
