I think him and pienaar have been sorely missed this year...
Neither of them are probably the type of player we need to make the step top get into the top 4, but if they had both played for large chunks of the season I reckon we would be closer to the top 8.
Both are obviously coming to the end of their careers and need replacing soon. Can see Ossie still being a more than useful squad member next year but Martinez needs to get some creative ball playing types in over the Summer.

Leon is a great option from the bench, but that is about it. If anyone is looking for him to be our saviour this season, he is not that. Having said that, I am not even sure Messi could be be our saviour this season. We don't need an individual, we need a mental change within the group.

I'm not his biggest fan and I agree he's not the saviour. But what he does signify is the type of player we've missed this season in the final third: quick feet, quick thinking, always looking to lay off asap
We need a player like that desperately in the summer.

This. Love or hate him he looks like the most dangerous minded in going forward at the moment. Our other "attacking" players seem to have the flair and passion for attacking opposition defenders sucked out of them this season.
We have missed him and Peinaar lots this season. Of the two I hope we keep Ossie as I think he is a little more brittle.
He is a useful squad man to have. Pops up with important goals. But more importantly, in games where the opponents have been worn down he picks up little spaces to attack from. A very clever player and underated really.

I dont know mate. I like the idea of Sigurdsson as someone who could play off Lukaku. I mentioned yesterday that maybe Diego (former Werder/Wolfsburg/Atletico) now at Fenerbache could be a catalyst for us.
I think Everton have been linked with Sergi Roberto (the new Xavi!) at Barcelona recently too.

Agreed mate. We've been putting square pegs in to round holes all season because of injuries and lack of form from our wingers . It's done no favours to barkley and naismith. As for osman he's 1 of the most effective subs ive ever seen us have.shame he's not 5 year's younger cos he hasn't got 90 minutes in him anymore
We've missed the option of ossie from the bench.
