Did anyone else get the feeling...as Baines ran over towards the crowd that he thought about kissing the badge then thought better of it?

really thought for a second he was reaching for it then never. Worried me a bit tbh. Wheres this contract and why hasnt it been signed yet? this definately needs sorting before Jan because I cant handle it again

He's proven that he's the best all-around left back in the league, if not the world, this season. He hasn't bombed forward as much overall, but his defending has been outstanding.

Had a good little chuckle last night reading Red Cafe...and you know something....you might not be far wrong. Sitting with his head in his hands while the world was watching was not a good move by little Ginger Nuts.

I don't envy him Steve, one tough job to follow Ferguson as it was and taking just a point from 3 of your rivals isn't a great return. Operation meltdown will be in full flow if the ****e beat them and another couple of poor results. As long as we keep ticking along nicely and Baines carries on in that kind of form on Saturday I think a contract will be signed sooner rather than later.

Sadly yes. Hoping against hope they just go away but not optimistic on that score. Maybe they will not get through the group stages!!

Sadly, exactly the feeling I got after reading that.

Think the only hope is come jan/end of season, we find ourselves on the verge of a remarkable season. ie cup final and/or CL, coupled with the fact of utd struggling this season.
