Leighton Baines

The fact is if LCAB really knew what was going on he'd tweet "he's going" or "he's staying" instead of playing the riddle card. He might have insider knowledge but he's playing a guessing game at the moment, the information he gives isn't helpful to anyone.

A certain ITK on here who people seem to trust reckoned Baines was off to United last year for £18 mill before saying a few days later that he'd decided to stay.

And to be honest, if he does turn down United to stay here i wouldn't want him here, don't want players with lack of ambition at Everton do we.

Never before heard such wanton lunacy.

champs league and some medals is not the mark of a player, never has been, look at the no marks who have landed to fill a gap at a club who were always going to win something.. will they remembered more than Baines?? What about players like Le Tissier, still legends and achieved a lot less than Baines. Didn't Mirallas arrive here from a team playing in the champs league. Most good players still want to make an impact not just collect something for the stats. I think maybe some fans are obsessed with these stats themselves and project it onto players. Don't see any sign he is going anywhere and I will find a way to give the lad a hug when he proves there is something more important than the CL circus

He's the best left back in the country and one of the best in Europe. He wants to be playing in finals, wining trophy's, being first choice LB for England. It's natural and what he deserves. Le Tissier was never good enough to be a regular for england or play for one of the top clubs.

While I know ****ging off the likes of LCAB is the default setting of late, he has said all along that this was his opinion, not that he knew anything specific, and that regardless of whether Baines does or doesn't sign a contract, MU will eventually sell Rooney and make Everton a big enough offer that they have to accept.

Im not particularly ****ging HIM off but covering your angles then proclaiming 'i told yooz' is too easy

so you are saying that if baines turns united down and wants to play at goodison instead...you wouldnt want to see him at Everton.
That is probs the most idiotic statement i've seen here...EVER

*all opinions are welcome here ofcourse

Calm down Finners...

Although I do disagree with his post.

Love of the fans, appreciation, being a local lad can have a big sway in matters and to say Le Tissier was never good enough to play for England or one of the top clubs is just wrong. He refused Liverpool.

Nah mate.

It was a sarcastic comment in relation to the "he has no ambition" criticism that gets levelled at players on here when they sign for other clubs.

Sign for Sunderland for 10 grand a week more rather than Everton : wouldn't want a player like him with no ambition.

Sign for Chelsea to challenge for a starting spot at a Champs league team rather than sign for Everton : wouldn't want a plyer like him with no ambition happy to sit on the bench.

But if Baines turns down United to stay here than the same criticism could be levelled at him if you were that way inclined.

Not from me though cause its a dumb criticism which i was pointing out through sarcasm.
