Damn good team.
A line-up with average age of around 30+ years. Yeah, a team for the future, ffs.

The age of the players isn't such a huge issue if it will get us what we need to actually attract good players, regular European football. Even finishing in 5th instead of 7th every year would get us an extra £2m per annum. Playing better would increase attendances etc. There is a lot more to football finance and player value than just how much you buy them for and how much you sell them for.
And as i've already pointed out, we have 5 good young players already along with another 1 or 2 possibly coming in. United frequently played a team with 5 or more over 30s this season and they seemed to do okay....
holtby instead of dempsey all day for me and of course clyne for RB. If pranjic comes i would have no qualms with him being baines' replacement meaning we can spend money elsewhere. Like i said before, if we're basically getting donovan without paying a fee in jan, why buy him now. We could just get a RM in on loan, unless we can snatch donovan for something like £2 mill obvs. also brennan you dont have cahill on the bench or in the outs, you think we'd let him stay and then rot in the ressies, will be one or the other surely?
agreed with this, we've been buying all these youngsters for years and nothing's really coming of it. Like i said before we have duffy, junior & fellaini, barkley and vellios as a youthfull spine right down the centre of our team for years to come if they live up to their expected potential. Obviously that is an if, but it should all be about the now, just IMO i would rather see holtby instead of donovan as i believe he may even be cheaper whilst having a lot more future potential
I've got a feeling he'll be gone mate, if only to save his large wage bill so that we can get a younger/better player in. A final big pay day for him and a couple of mill in the bank from a rich oil nation would be best for all concerned.
Also i'm not sure about Holtby purely because of the cost and that i've never really watched him play. It sounds like a dream signing though if he's as good as he's made out to be by some.
STOP TALKING ABOUT LEIGHTON!
I forgot Junior too, and Vellios. We've practically got a full 11 of youngsters ffs. We need to buy some more old players![]()
