Leighton Baines. What is an 'acceptable' transfer fee?

I was speaking to a United fan this morning. He's a season ticket holder so actually knows his stuff. I asked him if he thought they'd drop Evra for Baines, he said he couldn't see Ferguson doing that yet.

We're not in a positon where we'd have to sell Baines, are we? He still has miles on his contract and isn't the type of player who will demand he leaves and then causes a whole world of problems until he gets what he wants. Given all this, I can see Baines being at our place for another year at least. He won't want to go and play second fiddle to Evra IMO. Although, United have no cover at left back but from what I know I think they'll look else where for that type of player.

I'm more inclined to think that this could be one for the future.

I think between 15-20m is a fair price.

I think Moyes would want close to 20m to consider selling and Utd would want closer to 15 to consider buying though, so hopefully it won't happen.
