Seems like a mistake from Rodgers to go all out, but I can see how he's concerned about production seeing that we blanked both Chelsea and Tottenham, and figures we're not hanging four or five on him without James.

The BBC posted the interesting stat that our Prem win rate on a Wednesday is 29.3%, dropping to 12.5% on a Thursday, which speaks to the fact that we've had thin squads for a very long time now.

It is a strange one because if he's carrying an injury why would you put him on the bench considering if Olsen got injured then Pickford would have to come on to replace him.
