Probably a combination of Pickford’s minor injury and him generally being poor (he was OK vs Chelsea but the clean sheet masked a few big errors)

Yeah think that's what's happened.

Doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

Unless he didn't want to drop him on a low, and is doing so now to keep him on his toes but can't see it personally.

Of all the players you drop/rest, the 'keeper who has just kept his first clean sheet for god knows how long?

Suggests to me he's not 100%.
No doubt. I'm surprised he wasn't taken off at halftime against Chelsea. He definitely tweaked something

Agreed. You drop a keeper to get him out of the firing line and to get a reaction a la Pellegrini with Hart, no way are we dropping him after a consistent run of good games unless we are forced to. He’s also our only other competent keeper which explains why he’s the “just in case” sub on the bench

You're right. I hope Carlo does this when Pickford has a good run of games.

Right call, to retain the outfield 10 from last week.

Olsen for Pickford is a weird one, it seemed like he was coming into form but maybe Carlo will just give Olsen every 3rd/4th game until the FA Cup starts.
