I feel this will be another painful afternoon. Prove me wrong blues, prove me wrong... for the love of God, please prove me wrong :(

Leicester City 2 Everton 0

I am concerned about the Davies-Gueye partnership. I think it is a soft centre midfield but I sincerely hope that I am wrong!

very happy with that tbh, as i said if tosun had a good game v soton i reckon he'd have started but bernard definitely deserves it, just hope this is the start for him and he doesn't get a typical everton long term injury soon.

Even if we lose today, this is the sort of shape we need to see more often, especially away from home. We've got nowhere over the years by playing DM's all the time who don't even protect the back four and that is why we draw so many we should be winning.

Exactly.

And I for one am made up to see one of our own fulfilling the dream we must all have dreamt at one stage in our lives.

Skippering our beloved team and leading an Everton XI out onto the pitch.

Delighted for young Tom and I am sure his Uncle Alan will be well proud.

Congratulations, Tom Davies :)

Its excellent man management by Silva, giving Davies self esteem a boost when he was not playing up to last seasons level, and its an opportunity that has only arisen because of the absence of Coleman and Jags. A good spot by Silva, who in my eyes is doing a lot right at the moment, and has a chance of making a good fist of a difficult job.

Maybe, just maybe, we purposefully didn't sign a striker in the summer as Silva knew Richarlison would eventually end up there and he thought we had enough up front to last until he was ready. Would also explain signing Bernard in the same position. I'm almost definitely wrong but today will give us a bit of an insight.

City and the RS both play with an attacking 3 rather than an out and out CF. I can see Walcott / Richarlison interchanging as a fluid attack. This was one of the reasons I wanted Lozano as he can provide that too over an out and out traditional striker.

Hope it works.
