Today was a test. A similar team (albeit a week or so ahead in the manager sacking process) in a similar vein of form playing for points. Them with the new manager who the players want to impress, and us with the caretaker who is the players choice for manager.

We failed that test badly. If that’s the motivating effect the Koeman sacking and the premise of Unsworth being our manager has on them then I truly despair.

I love the way teams can count attack so so easy v us,get from back to front so quick, were as we can just about make it into the other half, via so many passes or running after a long ball lol
Team after team have figured out that once they go ahead they can just let us have the ball because we won't create a thing. They can then wait for Rooney (or any other of our players to be fair) to play a loose pass and have a run at the slowest defence I have ever seen (and I go and see non-league teams frequently).
We were demonstrably better second half. More chances, more possession, no goals conceded.

It’s silly to suggest he shouldn’t change something that’s horrifically wrong. My point is he shouldn’t have made that mistake to begin with.
Our starting formation played straight into Leicester hands with their counter attacking play & pace...

Unsworth tactically falls short...

Pickford did nothing wrong
Kenny Baines did Ok
Jags had a good 2nd half
Williams didn’t manage his usual goal away game

Mirallas looked interested
Lennon added width and pace and was little unlucky

DCL Rooney Davies were all terrible

Benny did ok Niasse was anonymous.

I’m beyond caring right now.

Not here to gloat at all. Our players were clearly playing to impress the new manager and get themselves into his plans. We were always going to start quickly and I feel your tactics played into our hands. Second half we took our foot of the gas big time but I don’t think we ever looked too troubled.

You should have had a stonewall penalty and who knows how that could’ve changed the game. All in all I think we deserved the 3 points but I just pray this isn’t another flash in the pan.

Hope you get the right man in to drag you out of this mess because you don’t belong down near the drop zone. All the best for the rest of the season

So you think I’m happy with that? Because I’m not happy with that.

it appears as a team we cannot compete physically and those few players that can or are willing to compete physically lack either the technical skills to do something positive or the experience to know what to do at the right moment.

Gray just simply ran by our whole team.

I am worried.

I've voted for Aaron for MotM but my Worst Man of the Match has to be Baines. Toss up between him and Kenny, they were both responsible for a goal conceded but at least Kenny made a half decent effort going forward in the second half. Baines was constantly out of position and looked like he needed a zimmer going forward
