Yes I wonder what calculation he used to get a "decade". Surely if he is replaced in the summer it's set us back a season? What's really set us back is all the useless players we spent ridiculous amounts of money on and the rubbish coaching staff and manager

He probably could do but he probably would not have wanted to come here knowing that Baines will be back soon enough and lets face it if eh didn't score a hat trick in his first game he would be getting booed and called a pub player. I don't know why anyone would want to come here currently.

It's hyperbole, world class, greatest ever, set us back a decade, blah blah blah, in reality it's a stumble no more unless it's repeated for a long period of the same mistakes.

Yeah this. Its amazing how much a team can change in a season one way or another.

Nobody expected us to go so bad so quickly and to an extent it can go the other way too.

City went from being laughed at a bit in the media and Guardiola getting comments about him losing it, to the best team in the world in about 6 months mate. Chelsea went from champions to shambles, to champions again to on the verge of another shambles/sideshow, in 4 seasons.

All it takes is 2 good appointments, one leading to the first to make a huge difference, a proper DoF and a manager who fits in with the DoF and can lay the foundation down for the way the club will be going long term.

We went from 15th to 7th to 17th to 4th to 11th to 6th in Moyes first 6 seasons, went from 5th and looking on the verge of something special, to 11th and looking close to a total collapse under Martinez in two seasons, from 7th and a mile ahead of the rest to whatever this season is.

Thats only looking at the 'modern' era, same swings happens under Royle, Kendall, Catterick and pretty much most managers in the clubs history.

Well, he went to Newcastle, so he cant be that fussy.

He could have done the same job here as Antonio Valencia has done at United.

Fair point but it looks like he is getting guaranteed game time up there. He would have got a few games for us until Baines comes back because I reckon that although many of our fans (me included) think Baines is almost finished those in the game don't think he is at all.

I have no anger against Allardyce. He;s just a big bluffer who was given the chance by Moshiri to come into a club smouldering and throw a can of petrol over it. My anger is all at the owner.
