Left Back

Evra is 36 years old. A 36 year old back up to a 33 year old! I know we've been moaning about not signing a left back but given we didn't in the window, and given that Baines is not far off coming back (apparently), this seems a bit pointless now.
He's favouring West Ham, so maybe it won't transpire.
he may be 36 years old but he has the body of a 20 year old god

Now that was a left back, I can still see him leaping about 20ft into a tackle......

Months to target and prepare moves for left back cover and it's left to approaching a free transfer once the deadline has passed. It's not that he's joining West Ham that I find annoying, it's how we have gone about getting players in that is the stand out for me.

It's like these people on major salaries don't ever think long term, no contingency plans of any sort.

Bizarre. So there's no left backs in the world accept for a 36year old free one?Are we skint again
Also we will lose out to West Ham and why leave it so late to get a free in? Everton are really getting worse. Is like these people you see win the lottery them waste it and are skint again.

Could it just possibly, maybe possibly, hopefully- Mosh is not prepared to give Walsh/Allardyce any more money?

Mangala loan and the "interest" in Evra could show that Moshiri wants to keep his money for the summer for new men?

The most alarming thing about this whole debacle is that Baines has been an injury-prone shell of himself for years, and yet it appears that no thought has been given to how to replace him in the long-term.

Any halfway decent director of football would have spotted this as soon as he walked through the doors, and started identifying suitable targets as a matter of urgency.

Issues like this are the reason why I have absolutely no faith in the Moshiri regime. He is delegating critical decisions to a man who doesn't know what he's doing.

But he did spend over 50m on two players and one of them(Tosun) could be regarded as relatively high risk.
