Left Back

18 months at the club. 9 months to identify a left back, two entire transfer windows to bid for and bring one in, and Steve Walsh's solution is a 36 year old who's a free agent because he volleyed a fan in the head.

Cracking volley to be fair to him, under pressure and coming through a crowd of players and he still lands, that's the sort of commitment we're lacking.

Just checked the stats. for Robinson, still only 20, seventeen games played for Bolton and is listed as six feet tall, which surprises me.

I remember seeing him first as a young lad where he looked very impressive, then he had a bit of a dip, had a bad injury and missed a lot of football. Of all the young players out on loan I think he could easily win a place in the squad... helped by the fact we have very little cover there.

In a terrible team.

He is nowere near ready for us mate, and doubt he ever will be. Rather play Cuca.
I like Antonee Robinson, he’s fast , agile and this season seems to have added more strength and defending ability to his game. I have to agree with you though, I don’t think he’ll make it with us . He’s in the Garbutt, Galloway category and a good comparison with Gethin Jones , a decent full back at the lower levels. I ‘m hoping Robinson has done enough to secure himself a contract at Bolton.

Months to target and prepare moves for left back cover and it's left to approaching a free transfer once the deadline has passed. It's not that he's joining West Ham that I find annoying, it's how we have gone about getting players in that is the stand out for me.

It's like these people on major salaries don't ever think long term, no contingency plans of any sort.

This just beggars belief.

What the heck is happening at our club?

Even if there is nowt of substance to the Evra story, the fact it is being floated and we are giving it 100% credibility on here speaks volumes of how how far this club is being sucked into a swamp of Steve Walsh’s making.

And Moshiri appears to be frozen like a rabbit in the headlights of what appears to be an approaching and fast moving calamity.

Could it just possibly, maybe possibly, hopefully- Mosh is not prepared to give Walsh/Allardyce any more money?

Mangala loan and the "interest" in Evra could show that Moshiri wants to keep his money for the summer for new men?

That is the raft I have been clinging to after the most recent transfer window.

Fingers and toes crossed ;)
