Leeds, Leicester and the other small clubs.

Did Burnley try to sue us as well? Give them a good kicking the next time they try to play tiki taka at Goodison please.

We can’t be blamed for our punishment not being in the same season as our crime which is their beef (which is technically impossible given the 3 year assessment periods).

But here they come…

But I don't think their contention will be that the points deduction from this season should be retrospectively applied to their seasons. It'll simply be that we have been found guilty of financial cheating and as a result of that cheating we survived instead of them. The part that will be difficult to prove is the causation between our spending and the outcomes on the pitch, but I reckon they'll try.
This is the main thing, its not about who finished where as things were, its where they think we would've been had we spent less and what results we would've got in various games. That impacts every game that season, us taking points off rivals, beating them directly etc. That's 4 years worth of seasons, not all of which were relegation battles for us so we would've won more games.

Absolute nightmare but one thing is for absolute certain, if the commission on one FFP charge takes this long, a multi-club legal battle with so many variables would take a lot longer. And we might be financially more stable by then. So that is another season's problem

777 vs potential administration, with seemingly no way to win, is the next battle.

For what “!! If city and Chelsea are docked points are city going to get taken to court by the sh### and be ordered to hand over all your silver are Chelsea going to be sued cos they finished 4th got champions league money at the expense someone who were 5th, clubs going to sue referees for points dropped and tv money lost due to bad var calls they can’t get right on the clearest of cctv. It’s a never ending can of worms that will open
pandoras box has now been opened BP, and inside pandoras box was a can of worms that had just been opened and a cat had been lobbed into a load of pigeons.

They all signed up to these rules as we did... the potential punishments were laid out... they were happy to sign up knowing that something like this had the potential to happen. Also given City's yoyo status pre oil money couldn't Every PL team have a go at them once they are found guilty.

I think they were told that they can make claims for compensation through the PL if we are found guilty.

But considering the year in which the charge relates to doesn’t impact any of them, I’m not sure they have a leg to stand on.

Maybe Aston Villa could claim compensation for finishing 1 place lower than they would have done.

Look at the teams there

Leeds - barely stayed up in 22, went on a 9 game winless run to go down last season

Leicester - missed the golden chance to stay up by missing a pen against us to put them 3-1 up then didn’t turn up at Newcastle until stoppage time in the penultimate game

Burnley - weren’t good enough to stay up in 22, despite beating us in the run in, haven’t been good enough so far this season

Southampton - 3 managers and were long gone before the season ended, no leg to stand on

Wrong season 😂

But even the season after, I guess the only team that could argue it would be Burnley. A 10 point deduction would have seen them stay up instead. Wouldn’t affect anyone else.
