Same here to be honest the club is still massivily in debt (i know it was when he took over) and that for me is a big worry

We're not massively in debt. We have debt, but so does every club in the league, the world even. We're the 21st richest club in the world apprantly, which takes into account debt. You want debt see Valancia oweing close to £500million out.

What we dont have (again apprantly) is money left over for transfers.

And compare that to other clubs in the league. Only Manure make a small profit out of every team in the league, no other club does. Arsenal are £307mill in debt. The [Poor language removed] £320million with annual payments of £30million.

Reading up, it'll take them 25 years to repay them through interest of income they make. Only Chelsea pay up their debts by paying them off through loans and interest.

We're 66 million pounds in debt..that is what i call massive in my book

Thats what is known about. When / if we spend anything this season add that on and we are looking at 85 / 90 mill........eeek.......There is an article at Times Online ( sorry cant post it ) about the worth / Value / Debt / transfer kitty etc of all prem teams today.

Soon one of the clubs in the prem will go bust, all this debt(not just ours) is worring I just hope its not us when it happens with a bit of luck it might be the second team in our city(y)

It possibly could if their board drops the ball big time. They're are scrambling and loaning money for the 300mill stadium.

But it wont happen. The revenue from success on the pitch, league places, merchandise, global fanbase, season tickets etc and interest ontop of all that will keep things in check.

Whether they win anything or come 8th next season wont matter because I think the only thing those Texans will concentrate on is global marketting which they say isnt what it should be at the club. They'll make a boat load if they chase it up.

But add interest to as well as earnings coming in, things are managable. Pocket change for a rich tycoon to throw money at.

KB........If, IF the DK stadium happens ( im one of them who hopes it doesnt ) just tot on at least another 130 /150 mill to that, plus however much more for transfers until then and it could be 250 / 290 mill. That is not pocket change. As many have said before, this extra income from 10 thousand seats is going a long long way. Debt is debt and it will eventually need to be repayed, even to a billionaire.

Do you think so? Do you know if Liverpool get this massive stadium that the yanks want, they will be in debt to around 400m.

Add this to the loans they took out to buy the club in the 1st place, cos neither have put hardly any money in at all, same with Glazier @ Utd, both these groups have money which enabled them to get the loans, which they are paying back, but from what ive read neither have invested a lot of money.

That's todays market, and again compared to other clubs, its managable for a club to sustain that debt.

And the figures you've put up dont take income coming in, which would increase with the new stadium if it sells out week in week out with an extra 10,000's fans and X amount of season tickets etc, plus transfers, league and cup positions etc.

No clubs debt will ever be wiped, ever. But say someone buys the club and throws 20mill to pay some debts off from 66mill, that's down to 46mill now and so on and so on for years and years.

Its nothing to be worried about. Its only a worry when you start throwing millions here there and everywhere and are making practically 0 -- which is what a Leeds did, and a Valancia (who spent 300mill on a new stadium on top on 200mill debts).
