Obviously he's cost peanuts and plays in a sub-par league, it's probably right to have low expectations at this stage. The worst that can happen is that he bombs and disappears back to Uruguay. There is the possibility that he will make the jump which is exactly what Coleman was able to do.
On top of spending real money on proven talent (yeah right), I would be quite happy taking a punt on a couple of players like this every year. Players with potential who have been properly scouted - not just a shot in the dark.
