Seriously mate I appreciate your honesty but i'm trying to show you how a lot of what you're spouting is what you have read in the daily mail and is a load of bollocks to be blunt. If your opinion of our fans comes from people like the tool before then that explains a lot. I reckon i'm quite grounded and i'm not unlike the majority of fans who use Bluemoon.

If you want to carry on bleating about who earns what (according to your tabloid of choice) then go ahead but just remember you're probably the deluded one.

I don't read the papers mate, I don't live in the UK. My opinion is based on what I've seen, which coincidentally is the same as what a lot of other fans from different clubs are saying. But I get it, it's not you it's us, right?

Where did the earning bit come in from the post I linked? Once again you ignore the points put to you mate, you're making a habit of this which is a bit unfair as you're getting your every question and query answered in full.

But then depends what you want to hear I suppose.

Equally, we had the Hughes and co for half a season who led us to a record 8 consecutive draws (including the likes of Burnley at home). You lot aren't the only ones who had blips in your season.

I think that having hardly any senior players fit is a better excuse. Still, when we got our players back and you got Mancini we still took six points off you.

That answers the question, right?

We would have killed for some draws with some the results we had at the start of the season.

Oh so the 32m on Robinho doesnt count mate? You're consistently moving the goalposts and parameters here, and change of management, excuses to justify your underwhelming performance.

The best 18 speaks for itself mate, when we got rid of our horrendous injuries at the start of the season we lost just two of the last twenty four games, much better than yourselves. As well as taking six easy points off you too.

Lets keep it on the facts fella.

This

Not mention the FACT that the welsh tw at spent an absolute fortune the following Jan (after buying Robinho) on the likes of Bridge an i think bellemy - All on the towell wearers money. Convieniantly forgetting about the facts doesnt fool anyone Gary. For the money spent over TWO years, 5th place in the league and NO trophies is a shocking result...Just think the man you like to call Gollum achieved that for 2 years running on a net expenditure of 2m a year. Goodness me, compare that to 300m! I genuinely dont see Ciy improving too much either because it doesnt matter how many mercenary tw ats you buy, you can only put 11 on the pitch. The top 8 sides city come up against will play for each other, not just a bank account and will continue to take plenty of points off you. Add to that the new players will need time to aclimatise to the prem. Once again the same mistake being made, too many players in and not allowing a team a chance to blend=failure. Theres just no continuity u see and it just doesnt work. Manchini will be sacked by Xmas, nailed

Sorry if i'm coming across as rude, I can't keep up with a firing squad this big.

Fact of the matter is, if you get a bunch of players together who are only interested in only one thing: $$$,
and not loyality and pride in their club then you might as well not compete at all, as you wont win anything!
Man City lack adhesion as the sheik continues to change the team line-up every season.
How's a team suppose to gel together when this is happening at every transfer window?

Look how long it took Chelsea to win a trophy after the russian took-over, and didn't chop and change as much
every season...

Your sheik reminds me of a little boy, everytime things dont go his way, he throws all his toys out of the cot, throws a tantrum,
and buys a whole new team!

there is an inevitability that city will eventually win the league. i was not around when we were the 'mersey millionaires' but when my dad used to tell me stories about everton this moniker seemed to be remembered fondly by him; and i wish we had city's financial muscle so i can't s-lag them off with much conviction - i'm jealous.

they are the new chelsea and as insane as it is to offer the wages they do thats modern football.

are city bigger than everton? maybe not now but they have a very bright future like it or not.

I don't see anywhere that says Lescott is leaving man city. where do you guys read this? or is this wishful thinking?

In the Sheikh's defense mate he hasn't interfered with the playing staff at all. The only thing he can be accused of is axing Mark Hughes...best thing we did last season!

Mancini will probably assemble a team he thinks capable of winning trophies then leave them to gel long enough to play like a team. Once we have the foundations we can add slowly like the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona do, so as not to upset the balance of the squad.

Granted Chelsea won the league almost immediately but in fairness they were already a top 6 side and needed 5 or 6 top players, we have reshuffled the whole squad twice since 2006 when Thaksin took over because we were fighitng to finish mid table.

The problem is City don't have the togetherness and coaching staff we have. We all saw what Chelsea did in Abramovic's second season in charge, but I just don't see this happening for City. What people forget is that Chelsea where attracting big names to their club well before Abramovic took over. The likes of Desailly, Deschamps, hasselbaink & Vialli to name but few. Chelsea had always been able to attract stars. City haven't and for that reason as pointed out they are attracting greed rather than commitment. I would be very surprised if the majority of their squad wouldn't be happy to sit on the bench and pick up 100k a week and not kick a ball. Thats the type of player they are attracting.

As for Lescott we don't need him.

Thats kinda why I was drawn to this thread...he's going nowhere fast, he's our first choice CB!

so he is not going anyway. What a bloody misleading thread title.

And you shouldn't have him as your first choice. his defending isn't that good, he scores goals and create chances. Jagialka was the one who was doing all the dirty job.
