Those last scenes in Adam and Paul are dark as fkVery good film
Good acting and some great comedy moments.
Another Irish film worth watching is Adam and Paul.
It’s about 2 drug addicts.
Some very funny parts and some poignant moments.
The last 30 seconds sums up what it’s like to be a drug addict and the depths you will sink to to get a fix.
Awesome Film. That and The Towering Inferno. I don't know why but I always think of the pair of them in the same breath. The Poseidon Adventure - incredible production but hilarious. I kept expecting Leslie Nielsen to crack up. Actually the cast must have had a laugh making it.
It looks so dated now.
They are but I think it gives a realistic look at the lives of drug addicts and the effects it can have on their families. Those last scenes in Adam and Paul are dark as fk
Never ever get bored of watching it, ultra violent, hilarious, with great characters, what's not to like.
Plus Nicolas Cage is allowed to go completely over the top, which is when he's always at his best.

Yeah, it was a low budget, that worked quite well.![]()
I couldn't work out if it was good or not, or if the acting was good or not.
So, I thought it was ok.

It was better than I thought it would be and apparently, they made a sequel which I need to find and watch.

Quite decent really, with good acting, a semi-believable plot and a twist.
I think @COYBL25 liked this?
Watch the original then if you like that watch Itchi the killerView attachment 42700
Watched this last night, some good, some bad.
I haven't seen the original, so can't compare it to the remake.
Josh Brolin ( superb as always ) is kidnapped for no apparent reason, whilst drunk one night, then held prisoner in the same room for twenty years and is then released out of the blue. He sets out on a bloody trail of vengeance to find his kidnappers.
Brolin is standout, but the film is messy and the action scenes are just beyond belief.
Truly shocking ending though.

Anything with Elizabeth Olsen in is good but, that shock though!
Made me feel nauseous.
Genuinely didn't see it coming.
