Last Film You Watched

Lords of Dogtown (2005)

Love Heath Ledger in this film, his character brings the movie to life. A great film that i've seen countless times and no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to stop thoughts of picking up a skateboard or surfboard after watching it. Note: not as good as the documentary it's based on.

Cracking film,do not I repeat,DO NOT watch the second one

Just watched the second - Stakeland 2.

My lad loved the first one and wanted to watch it.

Not half bad, lacked the beautiful cinetography of the first and the tenderness of the first ( more people in it ), but I wouldn't put it down as a terrible film ?.

I just thought it was very poor compared to the 1st one, just seemed empty to me,like it was a case of throw it together because the first one was well recieved

There was too many people in this one, which took a lot of the intimacy away from the first one.

I thought it was a nice touch at the end of the second, where the Doctor and the leader of the compound turned out to be lovers, just before they pulled the pin ;)

Maybe another watch of it and try to view it as a stand alone film might make it a bit more enjoyable, some films seem better second time around

A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night (2014) - Thriller/Romance

'Residents of a worn-down Iranian city encounter a skateboarding vampire (Sheila Vand) who preys on men who disrespect women.'

Expected more from it but, it was ok.

Drown (2015) - Drama

'When Phil dethrones Len at a competition, Len takes him out on a bender through the seedy city. Jealousy, homophobic fear and unrequited lust culminate in a tragic late-night trip back to the beach.'

It seemed like an eternity to get to the inevitable ending.

Tell Me How I Die (2016) - Thriller

'A killer starts to pick off college students one by one after they take an experimental drug that leads to visions of their own murders.'

Not the best of its type.

Not full of confidence that my run of poor films will end, as Stakeland 2 is next on the list. Mixed reviews on here but, here's hoping.

Watched Insomnia again last night, I only intended to see a part of it before going to bed but I got hooked and saw it all.

For those that haven't seen it, Al Pacino is perfectly cast (he always looks like he hasn't slept for a week) as an LA cop who can't sleep in an Alaskan town where it never gets dark. Robin Williams is great in a non-comedic role. Directed by Christopher Nolan, it is sure to keep you awake. (as I found out to my cost)

It's a very good film and one Pacinos best imo.

Never got the recognition it deserved.

They're middle aged, with lives that have amounted to nothing and clinging onto the past.

It couldn't be as frenetic as the first, as they'd look stupid and unrealistic doing all the mad stuff at their age.

There was just something missing and I couldn't put my finger on it; seemed to plod along, quite enjoyably okay add
