Superb and a great follow up.

It's not the classic that the first one is, but it's not meant to be.

Much slower paced, as they're all middle aged, stuck in a rut and unable to let go of the past.

Somehow they managed to get Robbie Carlyle to be even more over the top as Begbie this time around and much more involvement for Ewan Bremner as Spud.

Some stand out comedy moments in it - where they go stealing from handbags in an Orange Lodge social club, being one.

Bitter sweet, hilarious and quite sad in parts.

Highly recommended.

Very slick, pretty gripping, great actors, good direction and soundtrack. Definitely worth watching but it seemed a little cold. Some reviewers called it an exercise in style and I can see what they mean.

I think it was intended that way. Her vacuous lifestyle was portrayed as cold and isolated, whereas Gylenhaal's was all emotion, despite the obviously terrible things that happened.

Does the film give any more insight in to why it's called the oddly-titled 'T2 Trainspotting'.

Finished early today and thought I'd relax and watch a movie.
My choice? 'The Asian connection' with Steven Seagal.
It's so appalling I can't take my eyes off it...or Steven's black fuzzy felt hat that he's passing off for hair these days.

I've finished watching House of Card's this week so decided to watch the Usual Suspects last night. Must have been over a decade since I saw it last, excellent film.

But, tonight I'm watching a classic. Burt Reynolds, Ray Liota, Ron Pearlman, John Rhys Davies and superstar Jason Statham.

It's without doubt one of the greatest movies ever.

Trainspotting - T2

Excellent sequel to the groundbreaking and iconic original film. Great to see how the lives of the main characters had evolved over the 20 years since we last saw them. Poignant in parts and very funny in others, the scene in the Loyalist club was hilarious, though perhaps more so from a Scottish viewpoint.

Just saw this last night.

Debating whether to watch this, the reviews on IMDB are pretty bad.
