Arrival.
First time I've been the flicks in months. Enjoyed this, good ideas, very atmospheric, well made and great soundtrack. Had some problems with the logic of the ending but overall good to see a big budget A list Sci fi with something between its ears and that's not afraid to take its time.

nice one, ste...think we'll cinema this one, just hoping it calms down on the forced feels of your Interstellars & Gravity.
Even Contact failed in the end when it decided the best way to show 'first contact' was by making them look like Jodie Foster's Dad standing on some beach from her childhood and speaking perfect american.
2001's a classic for many reasons, one of them is the utterly alien behaviour and look of the monoliths. Close Encounters is also brilliant for similar reasons.
Hoping for something original like that.

hahaha! I actually wrote how i felt about it but deleted it before posting...would ruin it.
Really very good and im just now sitting down in a cafe contemplating how it actually relates to everyday life and relationships.

That's very deep mate.
We're both big fans of Brad Pitt and I quite like Marion Cotillard too, so will defo watch it at some stage. We were going to watch it on the pictures but my missus has had a family bereavement and we're going away for Xmas/New Year in 2 weeks so will probably have to wait until it comes out in DVD.
