Last Film You Watched

I watched 'I'll Be Me' last night...a doco film on Glen Campbell and his descent into Alzheimers.
Bit over-long but I highly recommend it.
What a lovely man Campbell (and his family) is...and he was/is one hell of a muso.

Saw the midnight opening for the new Suicide Squad and despite what its detractors say I thought it was brilliant. Yes it had flaws, what film doesn't? But overall I came away from the cinema quite happy with it's interpretation.

I'm fairly confident that if you go into the film with reasonable expectations you won't be disappointed mate. Unfortunately the critics have been ridiculously harsh on this film and approached it as though it was meant to be a 'Gone with the Wind' type masterpiece. Speaking as a self confessed comicbook reader and a long time reader of the Suicide Squad book I was happy with it. Joel Kinnaman was good as Rick Flag, Jared Leto gave a decent showing as the Joker and even Will Smith (who I'm not a big fan of tbh) was ok as Deadshot but the real stars in this are the woman of the cast. Cara Delevingne is great in her role, Viola Davis was prefect as Amanda Waller and Margot Robbie stole the show as Harley Quinn.

Wow. Thought it was dreadful myself and by the sounds of it so did the rest of the cinema.

Margot Robbie was good but EVERY other actor was terrible along with the lack of story and ridiculous enemy.

Cant believe anyone would like it....also the funny thing was the soundtrack playing over and over throughout the movie...then cutting out and starting again.

Smith sleepwalked it...playing the good guy yet again and jared leto thought he was meant to be a comedian.

I will stick to my rating above ..2/10 for margot robbies performance.

I'd be interested to know what you think of all the films Marvel studios have put out in the past few years mate? They were trying to do a different type of film here rather then the same old junk Marvel (aka Disney) keep putting out. Jared did a decent interpretation of the Joker and wasn't helped by the fact that lots of his scene's were cut out. Don't know how you can say Viola Davis was bad, because she gave the most accurate and faithful depiction of any comic character I've ever seen onscreen. She WAS Amanda Waller. Will Smith was a horrible choice for Deadshot I agree, he's just a bad actor full stop imo. The villain is a fairly decent version of Enchantress and while I agree she's slightly ridiculous I'd like to point out that it's a film based on a comic mate, most of the characters are ridiculous in comic's. The cinema I was Sat in everyone seemed fairly happy with it. Not saying it was spectacular or anything just nowhere near as bad as some are making out. I'd be inclined to give it 6.5/10 but I'm going 7/10 just to counter balance some of the OTT stick it's taking.

Finally gave in and watched the new Ghostbusters, abomination of a film there isnt a single redeeming feature about it,you dislike the characters from the outset and they even managed to bastardize the theme tune avoid at all costs -0 out of 10
